The harder clear coats now being used by many German and American auto manufacturers is providing better protection for your vehicle. These scratch resistant ceramic clear coats are an improvement but will still have plenty of swirls and fine scratches in them. Surface abrasions in ceramic clear coats can be best removed with a new type of polish developed by Menzerna. Menzerna has partnered with Blackfire to create the Blackfire Scratch Resistant Clear(SRC) Compound, specially designed for the harder ceramic clear coats. This formula is still completely safe and highly effective on all traditional clear coats as well. These polishes utilize ultra fine particles that are densely clustered to remove medium depth imperfections. Other polishes often use larger and more abrasive particles for increased cutting power, which creates more haze and follow up work. Blackfire's new formula gives you the ideal combination of strong cutting power with a remarkably smooth and vibrant finish. You can apply this product by hand but it is highly recommended that you apply this product with a quality buffer and light cutting pad. When using a quality buffer and pad combination you can remove 1500 to 2000 grit swirls and fine scratches. You should follow up with a light cutting polish like the Blackfire SRC Finishing Polish to ensure no haze has been left on the paint and you have the maximum optical clarity.
