great light for the weekend detailer. For best results, a combination of daylight, halogen work lamps and the brinkmann is the way to go. Light stays charged for hours so plenty of time for work

Yes the product works in doing what everyone here says it does. It's indispensable for finding the defects BUT....I didn't see anyone speak to the poor quality. I have the non rechargeable model and had to return it because the trigger wore out after about a month. The second one arrived and the rear battery panel has cracked, will no longer close and has to be held on by tape. The trigger is once again acting up. Who knows how long it will last. The two stage trigger which adjusts the intensity of the light seems pointless and adds complexity that threatens the longevity of the unit. Considering how much use these get and the relative quality of the other tools in our detailers toolbox, Brinkman needs to up the quality of these beyond a flashlight you buy at the dollar store. Great idea, poorly executed.

Great tool to have for detailing. Works nicely to expose swirls and other imperfections on the paint. Makes sure you are doing a good job!

A great tool! We purchased this as a replacement flashlight because we liked our previous one so much. (The light is a great quality; it was our German Shepard pup that got a hold of it and destroyed the handle. I wish I had bought one of these long ago. I do a lot of custom body work and custom paint and this light has helped me find fine sand scratches before I shot the primer. It even found some that showed through the primer that I would not have seen without the Brinkmann light. A real time saver.

Great for scratches and swirls, not for other paint imperfections. Overall this tool works really well for finding scratches and swirls. For use in a body shop, I end up using it as a regular flashlight more than a detailing tool, but it's great for doll-ups and paint correction. A must have tool!

This was my first time using a professional level light and I was quite impressed by the product. It shows every swirl and scratch and enabled me to clearly see when the paint was properly prepared for polish and wax.

I've tried my fair share of light guns in the last couple of months in an effort to find something comparable to the Brinkmann, and the Brinkmann keeps coming up as the best bang for the buck. It's a great light for inspecting paint defects and clients are always amazed at how much is revealed with the use of the Brinkmann light. This is a must have tool for any detailer.

PROS: Charge seems to last a decent amount of time. Stays relatively cool. Useful for finding paint imperfections but can also be used as a regular flashlight.

CONS: I wish it was a little bit brighter. Would maybe consider buying the Brinkman LED next time.

I have had my brinkman Dual Xenon for going on six years and it is still working. I had also bought a Dorcy spot light for the garage and have been very disapointed in the short life it had. I have looked at Lowes where I had bought the Brinkman to find out they quit selling them so I got online and found them here. Needless to say I ordered another Brinkman Dual Xenon and I would not want to take a chance on any thing other in a portable flashlight

This is my best light source as a mobile detailer. I use LED, Xenon and Halogen, but the Xenon is very portable, extremely bright and fits in my FLEX bag, never more than a few inches away when I need it! An absolute must have for the devoted detailer.

I originally bought this flashlight at Pep Boys. After many years it needed replacement the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Pep Boys discontinued it so found you online. I'm a newspaper carrier for 17 years and have used lots of flashlights but this is the only flashlight that I can read the addresses with,this beam goes a long way and its thin enough to fit between the console and seat of my car. Others with this much intensity are too big and bulky for use in the car,and the trigger on this light is better than a switch when driving. An excellent flashlight for any automobile. Great tool, more that just for looking for defects. Very bright, and just the right amount of intensity for spotting defects. We also use the Brinkman when buffing off polishes and waxes on lighter colored cars.

Another great tool for the true "Detailer" who is wanting to see all the defects, and correct as needed, etc.. It is different from the CREE LED's of the other Brinkman, which I also purchased here, but I like it for certain colors of paint. But either light will do what you want, and this one is not hot at all like my 1000watt halogens on a a tripod stand.. Great work Brinkmann ! Thanks for selling these, Detailed Image !! Dan F

An industry standard product. Works as advertised and finds swirls and scratches in your car's finish. I decided in the last minute I needed the Brinkmann Xenon to start an exterior detail project. It was delivered when promised and used it to find swirls I needed to remove and double check for them after correcting the paint. Used the Brinkmann to photograph before and after corrective work. A great addition to anyone's detailing tool box.

I didn't buy this item here since DI just started to sell it, but if you don't have one of these lights then you are not a true detailer! It is by far the best light to see swirls and scratches. Just hold it up to the paint about 2 feet away and start crying and take out your wallet fore more products because this baby will show everything.
