I use this on BMW leatherette. Leaves it matte and oem look.Excellent cleaner and deodorizer. For stubborn stains, let it sit a few seconds. The smell is a mild pine-sol-ish; I like it actually. I am just going to pull the trigger on the $140 bottle after the sprayer runs outs.
Love this stuff for light-to-moderate interior cleaning and conditioning. It works on Plastic, Vinyl and Leather and Navigation panels. It cleans and leaves a great matte "factory" finish on all surfaces. I recently got the 10 Liter jug and the smell has changed to a decent citrus smell from the "what is that?" smell.
This product is very effective and leaves behind a very " just cleaned" smell and feel.
Seems to clean well. Didn't leave behind any residue. Odd smell--not bad really--just odd.
My Ford Edge has an 8" LCD screen and piano black center stack. Both highly attract finger prints. I have 4 oz spray bottle in my glove box filled with 1Z with a microfiber towel. While at a stop light, or in park, I can easily whip this out and make it look all new again. I even use it at home to clean my glasses and loptop screens (buy some 4 oz bottles too, they come in handy).
For interior plastics, rubber, vinyl, and pretty much any hard surface, it gets no better. I agree with criticism of the scent, but it dissipates very quickly. I love the matte finish, the ability to repel dust, and the ease of use.
I made the mistake of cleaning the steering wheel of my 328i with a protectant. BIG mistake. It looked and felt slippery. Rather than hit it with an APC, I reached for my 1z Cockpit Premium to undo the damage. I sprayed 1-2 mists on a clean microfiber (don't spray the wheel directly to avoid a big mess) while *outside* the car, then gently rubbed every bit of the leather steering wheel cover 2x. Boom! It was back to the grippy, matte condition before the Vinylex.
Overall, I think this is a 'mild' cleaner, not heavy duty that is good to have in my arsenal for selective uses. Why I didn't use it or my Meg's Quick Interior Detailer the first time......not sure.
I really don't like the smell of this product for some reason. It is not because it smells like something foul, but I just don't want the smell (which I cannot articulate) in my car. I usually don't mind the odor that various cleaners and conditioners give off. I went through about half a bottle and then switched back to the 303 twins (Aerospace Protectant and Cleaner), which I prefer by a hefty margin. Cleaning wise, the 1Z Cockpit is on par with the 303 cleaner in the dilution I use on interiors (3:1), although it doesn't finish as well as Aerospace Protectant.
Got to have this in your detailing supplies it does everything I thought and more. I use it to clean my laptops and other misc.
Interesting product. It seems to take my dash back to factory new. It is hard to determine the results because my car is a 2009 and sits in the garage. I plan on trying with my 4 year old car next month.
I really liked using this product. It went on easily and came off without leaving streaks. I used it on the radio and GPS screen and well as the DVD screen in the back. I liked the new car smell it left.
If cleaning Sat/Nav screens worry you, then I highly recommend this product. Safely cleans all surfaces without leaving residue or a streaky look. Does a great job of cleaning plastic interior surfaces as well.
This product worked better than I expected it to. Clean the Nav screen on my 06 TL perfect. The dash area along with interior panels never looked better.
I use this product exclusively on my dashboard. I really love how it leaves a matte (no shine) finish. Makes the car look brand new. Smell is a non-issue, smells nice then dissipates. Highly recommended if you want your dash area to look factory-new.
This stuff is fantastic! Super easy to use....no residue or streaks....and doesn't leave that shiny after look! Great on navi screens and instrument clusters. I will never use anything else. Great smell too
I usually use MG quick interior detailer. 1Z cockpit premium was on sale, so I wanted to try it. I think it has more ability to clean than MG QID, but smells much stronger. The smell is more "industrial" than the MG QID. I tried using it to clean my (cooled down) LCD TV and home stereo and it works great just like MG QID.
Very easy to use with a matte finish. Works great on plastic. Smell is not that bad, goes away quickly. Excellent product!
THIS IS my go to product for the people that don't like a shiny finish. it smells a bit strong, but not overwhelming. the finish can be described as a nice satin/matte, not overly shiny and not a dust magnet. thumbs up from my view.
I used the cockpit cleaner for the first time the other day. Perfect! The bottle is distinctive, the sprayer is exceedingly high quality, and the results are great. It even smells good. No streaking or residue left behind, even cuts through oils and grease.
Love this product. Great for regular use. Cleans screens and plastics easily. Scent is a touch strong, but very clean and fresh smelling.
works very well
Great product, doesnt work AS WELL on glass but for plastics it works great. Smell isnt the best, kinda chemically smell. I still prefer Poor Boy Natural Look.
Excellent product. No shine, no grease. Would definitely buy again.
This is another compliment to their Deep Plastic Cleaner, and I really like this too.
It works better on less dirty plastic finishes, and does wonders to Nav screens, etc., as well. Also smells great, and leaves a nice sheen that is not plastic-like or oily, greasy, etc.. It makes my work look professionally detailed which is what I want, each and every time.. This and their Deep Clean Plastic are the two I reach for the most out of all the APC's I have, and I have alot of good ones too..
These Einzett products smell like and work like they were designed for German cars anyway..
