The new 3rd Generation Griot's Orbital Polisher 6" is here! This version features improved ergonomics and better handling. The speed dial has been moved so it's easier to adjust while working. The new rubberized handle is more comfortable and easier to grip, so working for long hours with this machine just got easier. The buffer also has a sleek new design with more of the bold red Griot's is synonymous with.The Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital Buffer will work perfect with your paint safely and easily! The random orbit motion virtually eliminates the chance of accidentally damaging your paint and ensures a first time detailer can get incredible results without any fears that old school rotary buffers provided. Now you can remove swirls, oxidation, ultra fine scratches and more so the paint has that like new shine again! This buffer packs a powerful 7 amp, 850 watt motor with improved low-end torque for better low speed applications. The 6 speed settings (range 2500OPMs - 6800OPMs) allow you to polish however fast or slow you desire. If you are just learning with the machine the lower speeds are very easy to use and you can move it up as you will feel comfortable within minutes. In general we recommend speeds 2 - 3 for sealants and liquid waxes, speed 3 - 4 for glazes and speeds 4 - 6 for polishes and compounds. The larger motor allows you to apply more pressure without the unit bogging down too quickly, so you can remove more imperfections in less time.
This buffer comes with a backing plate that is 6" so you don't have to purchase one separately. Use this backing plate with the 6.5" buffer pads for best results. The bale handle is fully adjustable and rubberized so it's soft and comfortable to grip in any position. 10' cord vs. 25' cord
We offer both versions of this buffer with the 10' (18 AWG) cord or the extra-long 25' (16 AWG). The 25' cord version can help you detail the whole vehicle without extension cords. The lower AWG number indicates that the 25' has a thicker wire and a higher current capacity.
