If you want to get every pad you need for detailing this is the package for you. These pads are 5.5" in diameter and 1.25" thick so they are durable and will last for years to come. This package gives you plenty of pads so you can get optimal results from your detailing efforts. The Purple Foamed Wool Pad is one of Lake Country's newest pads that is getting rave reviews. It is designed to help you get outstanding cutting power but finish down very smooth leaving little to no haze. The Yellow Cutting Pad is great for removing some deeper imperfections, scratches, etc with a compound or heavy cutting polish. The Orange Light Cutting Pad is very popular for applying a medium cutting polish to remove normal swirls, oxidation, etc. The Green Very Light Cutting Pad is commonly used with medium or light polishes depending on your specific goal. The White Polishing Pad is ideal for light polishing and the removal of haze and holograms from more aggressive polishing. The White Pad can also be used with paintwork cleansers (chemical polishes), AIO (All In One) and other polishes. The Black Finishing Pad is commonly used to apply glazes, but can also be used for sealants and waxes. If you have a high speed (rotary) buffer you can apply light polishes with the Black Finishing Pad or Blue Fine Finishing Pad to burnish or "jewel" the paint. This is the process that leaves the paint exceptionally smooth and optically clear. The Blue Fine Finishing Pad is extremely soft and is really popular for applying a sealant or liquid wax. Having the right pad that is also clean and fresh is essential for getting optimal results. By selecting this package you are ensuring that you have every pad needed to complete every part of an outstanding detail. Great startup kit! Got me going on a lot of my details. A must for starters, or just an extra set of pads to have around!
I ordered this kit, as i usually used 6.5 and 4 inch pads for most work, but the 5.5 really is the perfect blend for the contours and medium size panels. excellent quality, i have cleaned each with SPC and they have yet to separate from their backings as some say, screams quality.
