Would they buy this item again? No
I purchased this specific item, as well as the 1500 and 1000 grit in both 6"and 3". I had used foam type sanding discs in the past for headlight restoration and paint correction, so i knew what to expect.I was surprisingly dissatisfied with the Meguiar's brand discs. On a 2'x2' area of paint with plenty of lubrication my 1000 grit disc was completely worn out to the point of not working by the 4th pass. I had to go into my bag of headlight restoration supplies and pull out a USED 1000 grit disc by 3M. I had used this disc on at least 15 headlight restorations already, it finished the job i was in the middle of and still looked good for more cutting, do it entree back on the bag, not in the trash. The Meguiar's discs all went in the trash, useless. Will only buy 3M for foam sanding discs from now on.

The combination of 1000 and 3000 grit 3-inch disks made headlight correction a breeze. I used the 1000 grit on my Griot's buffer set to speed 2 - 2.5 to remove the haziness and scratches on Lexus ES330 lenses. Then used the 3000 grit disk to remove the micro scratches left by the 1000 grit. A final polish with Menzerna Power Lock on Meguiar's DA finishing disk and the lenses were crystal clear. I would say this gave me 85 to 90 % correction in 10 to 15 minutes per side. One note of caution - be sure to use plenty of lubricant with these disks. I let things dry out and burned through a 3000 grit disk in less than a minute. Other then that, a great product and terrific time saver.
