22ple Glass Coat Applicator Product Reviews
Professional Detailer Reviews
Let's start with the monetary savings the 22PLE Glass Coat Applicator will provide. Rather than using a foam pad which will absorb excess coating, this applicator will allow for a more even spread of the coating across the entire surface. This will not only allow for a more efficient use of your coating, but also a more even layer of coating will be applied to your paint. Additionally, by being two sided this applicator can be used at least twice, doubling your value.

By far the best applicator pad I have ever used. I applied 22Ple ceramic coating with it and it went on very smooth. It was very easy to tell where you have been and where you need to apply the coating. I will definitely use this applicator from now on. It was starting to separate from the foam base as I was finishing the car but I was done and had no intention of reusing it. I would advise using a very light touch when applying the coating.
One time use.... I used this with a single application of 22ple vision on my windshield. When I went to grab it a couple days later off the shelf, it was melted. Literally the material that applies the product came off like melted gum in my hand. Terrible!!!
Surface of the applicator completely peeled off the foam attachment every time I tried a new one. These are terrible, like other people have said. I made it work because it was all I had. I had to be very diligent about never pushing it on a leading edge and always dragging the trailing edge. That is the only way I could get them to work properly. I agree with others that these should not be sold as their quality is poor.
Very disappointed in this product, the foam peeled off right away.
The applicator is easy to use but last several I have gotten had poor attachment of the applicator to the underlying foam and couldn't get through half the car. DI did replace the last one without issue. When you get a good one they work great.
I tend to go thru 3-4 of these when coating a vehicle. They suck.
Like other have said these just fell apart like they were really old and the foam was disintegrated. Detailed image should be refunding money and not selling these anymore, but they sell these knowing you can't return because return shipping cost most than what you get back. I used them in the past and they worked perfect. But they have changed and are 100% defective. I did not even get to try and use them. Just touching the top gray pad and it peeled off and disintegrated right out of box. Wake up Detailed Image. You need to pull these off your products list.

Would they buy this item again? No
Gray foam just fell apart from yellow pad and suede pad came off. Pad was unusable on first use. I had to throw it in the garbage.
Mine disintegrated and was unusable, foam just fell apart with minimal use.
Used these to apply CarPro CQuartz paint coating. Worked very well. I only wish they were just a little bigger.
For applying to paint, this applicator is just too small. I prefer the rectangle blocks much better. However, this pad is good for wheels, small areas like door jams, or places that the other applicators are too big. I have many other options for pads, and this one isn't one that I find that convenient based on how small it is.
Nice applicator. Would be better at 1/2 the thickness. Overall very easy to use.
Previously I have been applying semi-permanent coatings using the orange CarPro block with matching orange square suede and getting fantastic results with very little product absorption. I had horrible results with trying to use the square finding that it absorbed more material and didn't allow as much spread. It also left some very strong high spots.
Might have been a fluke since the other reviews state otherwise, but frankly I won't be giving it a second chance since the previous method worked so well.

Nice little applicator. A little hard to hold on to but once you get used to it it works well. It doesn't squeak like the CarPro's one so that's nice.
Good product. Easy to use. Fits in my fingers nicely; easy to hang on to. As Anthony mentioned, a thinner model may be nice to get under mirrors and other tight spots. Maybe sell as a set - one thin, one traditional applicator?
A nice applicator. I think they need to offer a thinner model to get in tight places. For example, under the side mirrors is difficult to fit this pad.
I really thought these were the answer for applying coatings. I bought 9 of them to stock up. I had been using the "inside" foam cut up from MF applicator pads. The first time I tried these squares I noticed I used way more product than previously and wasn't thrilled. I used them when doing a Bentley CGT. I had just done a Paint Correction and the finish was flawless. After the curing phase I pulled the Bentley out of the garage and noticed hairline scratches pretty much all over the vehicle (they were in straight lines like they way I had applied the coating). I was not happy and figured somehow during the removal of oils and chemicals before the coating application I somehow introduced marring. I lightly re-polished and reapplied with foam and the car was perfect. It wasn't until coating my personal car did I noticed the squares DID somehow scratch the finish. I coated w/squares a recently painted bumper (black) and after saw horrible light scratches all over. It is a very soft clear coat and difficult to remove the scratches to begin with but I will not use what squares I have left, and will from no on use the soft foam to apply the 22ple which I absolutely love working with. I don't like writing bad reviews but this has to be said. I think its the edges of the squares that hit the paint when applying and dragging across the finish. The fiber material used is fine I believe, just where that fiber is glued to the foam. That around all the edges touches the paint when the fibers are compressed. I hope this helps either a correction in material used and re-engineering or others with use of this product. Please check a small area before doing a whole car.
Best applicator pad I've used for coatings or trim restoration. It is easy to hold and doesn't seem to use as much product like other applicators. Given the costs of the coatings we use I like to feel as though I'm not wasting product "in the applicator" Well worth the extra two bucks.
