Exciting news from Chemical Guys at SEMA. They’ve announced their new Chemical Guys TORQ 10FX Random Orbital Polisher.

Here’s what we know:

  • Easily removes swirls, scratches, and defects from all painted vehicles
  • 700 W motor with a variable speed control for 1,500 – 4,200 OPMs
  • Lightweight, electronic feedback and reduced vibration control

We’re not entirely sure when it will be available, but Detailed Image will have it in stock as soon as it becomes available. We’re now accepting pre-orders on our product page at the very enticing price of $199.99. Check out our product page for more information about the TORQ 10FX along with a few videos from Chemical Guys. We’ll continue to update that page with more information as we learn more.

We stopped by their booth earlier today to see the buffer in person. Here are some photos:

  1. Felix says:

this unit looks very nice on the video it doesnt look like it boggs down on curved surfaces like the rupes polisher but then it doesnt seem to have a big throw like the rupes hopefully we can have a review on this polisher

  2. Jeff Davis says:

Are there $75 worth of upgrades on this compared to the PC unit?

Maybe some pros out there could clue me into why this unit would be worth buying over the PC.

  3. Bob says:

Need a review of this polisher vs. the new Meguiar’s MT300 vs. rupes vs. PC. Point out the pros and cons of each unit and rank them.

  4. Robert Geco says:

I like to see a comparison with the Rupes polishers and the German Flex polishers.
I am retired from detailing cars. I started in 1970 tghat is when I got my first polisher
a Souix 1200. You had to be quick. there was no cruise and speed controls then I learned on every Souix polisher until the black & Decker 6138 revolutionized the industry and body shop with a lighter polisher and computer control cruise and speed options. The Detail industry has come along way
    since 1970 when I started.
now any one can master a orbital polisher, with ease of control and the basic training. I am curious how much is marking and how much is truth to these new European Polishers. Doesn’t any one build a polisher that is truly mad in America?
    Bob Geco
