From the wheel spokes, to trim pieces, to engine compartments, these products can come in handy in a variety of ways. But often we limit ourselves to one or two particular swab designs. I will admit I appreciate having a variety on hand. To give examples of the variety of uses, I will give use case examples of for each kind of foam swab.
Foam Swab Options
- Foam Cleaning Swabs Variety Pack – My recommendation, especially starting out using them.
- Foam Cleaning Swabs – Rectangle – Larger ones to cover more ground. Rectangular ones to dress or ceramic coat intricate areas like trim.
- Foam Cleaning Swabs – Rectangle S – The air vents, though the vents can have a couple of different preferences.
- Foam Cleaning Swabs – Pointed – Precision application, including touch up paint application. The pointed tips to get into trapped spaces. Paint protection film openings, or wax in trim, or connections to headlights.
- Foam Cleaning Swabs – Round S – Filling in missed spots with respect to trim dressing or trim coatings.
I personally think the smaller and medium round ones fit better and are more workable in the air vents, depending on your goals. I do however recommend the variety pack at least until you get an idea of the ones you have a preference for. If I had to narrow it down to two options, small and larger round tips are my least replaceable. Each swab is going to be somewhat tailor-made or less convenient to use for different tasks. Ultimately, I would have them all on hand in a convenient location, for the many different scenarios.
