{"id":16087,"date":"2015-01-27T08:00:10","date_gmt":"2015-01-27T13:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/?p=16087"},"modified":"2015-01-26T11:41:21","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T16:41:21","slug":"product-review-sonax-fallout-remover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/product-review-sonax-fallout-remover\/","title":{"rendered":"Product Review: Sonax Fallout Remover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its been a while since I have really been happy about a new product, but this one is a good one to say the least!<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Sonax-M49\/Fallout-Cleaner-P965\/16-oz-S1\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sonax Fallout Remover<\/a> does a great job at removing the embedded contaminants from your cars paint.\u00a0 Its very useful on brand new cars where there is the common rail dust all over the car from either sitting on the lot or during initial transportation.\u00a0 Fallout is very easy to use, and at a cost of about six to seven dollars per application from the bottle, it&#8217;s a no brainer to have it in your detailing arsenal.\u00a0 It will do a tremendous job allowing you to get the deep down contaminants from the pores of the paint with ease.\u00a0 I even hardly picked up anything when I test clayed the BMW 435 after using Fallout.\u00a0 I did pick up more prior to the use however, so I know that it worked very well!\u00a0 At the end of the process, the paint was noticeably smoother and cleaner, and actually seemed to be a bit more shiny, which would be a result from no contaminants on the paint.<\/p>\n<p>The directions state to wash the car to remove all the loose dirt.\u00a0 This will allow the Fallout Cleaner to work more effectively rather than have to cut through the dirt and grime on top of the paint otherwise easily washed off.\u00a0 After washing the car, I dried the paint and proceeded to spray the product all over every inch of paint.\u00a0 Total dwelling time for it was only about 5 minutes and you could see it working as this product will turn purple as it&#8217;s working.\u00a0 After 5 minutes, I gave it a light misting of water to keep it wet without having to apply more, and to extend the working time.\u00a0 Once I noticed it wasn&#8217;t doing any more removal, I re-washed the car, which had a slicker feel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial wash to remove loose dirt and grime<\/li>\n<li>Spray on Fallout<\/li>\n<li>let dwell ~5 min<\/li>\n<li>Mist on water, if you want to extend the work time<\/li>\n<li>Rinse\/wash off<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below are some pictures of the process:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7558\/16324485936_1604ae2342_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7550\/15730490863_c69f7abe5f_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7332\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8668\/16324484666_cf4d1d20be_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7333\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8668\/16350434675_4de69a521c_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7336\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8654\/16348690051_c15eae4a3c_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Sonax Fallout Remover will be a great tool to add to your arsenal to help you start getting better results faster!\u00a0 It will cut down on the amount of claying necessary, which will save you time and effort.
