My name is Eric Schuster and I operate Envious Detailing out of Orange County, CA. I have always been fascinated with a clean car ever since I got my first! The only thing that has changed for me since then is the fact that now I look at cars from a whole different perspective. They are not just “a quick clean up” job to me! Its a labor or love that has grown into a business. After all, you have to enjoy what you do for a living in order for it to be fun! There is no way I would be able to hold down a desk job where I sit at a computer for 8 hours a day. I am a hands on type of guy and always need to be doing something.<\/p>\n
From starting out doing the routine detail work like wash and waxes, to eventually learning how to operate a machine polisher to remove paint imperfections, to eventually learning the craft of wetsanding, I have broadened my car care horizons! I used to be one of the persons who thought a wash and a wax was as good as it gets! Well, after countless hours of hands on experience, and even more information searching, I realized I was wrong! There was so much more to car care than I realized and it intrigued me so I learned and applied it to friends and family members’ cars. Those people told people, who told\u00a0others and it all just snowballed from there! Pretty soon I was filling up my summer days detailing cars and working at a restaurant at night waiting tables. It has\u00a0formulated into being able to support myself with just detailing cars for people who want quality work!<\/p>\n
So, here I am, 10 years later, performing full wetsand jobs for magazine publications, creating a like new or better than new paint job on people’s favorite cars, and preventing other people’s cars from deteriorating into something they would rather not drive around! Some\u00a0say this is the perfect profession for me because I have an OCD nature…I don’t think its OCD, but rather the correct way to do things! I like the saying “If its worth doing, its worth doing right.” There is no point in short changing yourself, or the task at hand!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
