If you’ve been keeping up with my articles over the years, you’ve probably realized I have a thing for great looking tires. \u00a0To me, a well dressed tire is the “cherry on top” of a great detail. \u00a0After spending hours and hours cleaning, decontaminating, polishing, and coating a vehicle, the tire dressing is one of the final steps and really gives the car that finished look. \u00a0So naturally, when I was asked to try this new product from Forma Car Care<\/a>, I was happy to do it!<\/p>\n

I had the perfect candidate for a new tire dressing review. \u00a0This BMW\u00a0M4 is equipped with\u00a0Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, which are some of my favorite tires to dress due to their smooth sidewalls that are absent of deep groves and lettering like most\u00a0modern tires.<\/p>\n

I started with a clean tire that already looked very nice, but it was lacking that deep, dark look\u00a0that I love.<\/p>\n

\"ATD<\/p>\n

Forma RVP Trim Shine<\/a>, which stands for\u00a0R<\/strong>ubber\u00a0V<\/strong>inyl\u00a0P<\/strong>lastic,\u00a0is a thin, white liquid, and comes in a nice spray bottle for easy dispensing. \u00a0I used the “mist” setting on the spray nozzle, and applied 2 sprays of product onto a new tire shine applicator before wiping the product evenly onto the tire. \u00a0The product spread very easily, and left a nice, even finish. \u00a0After roughly 30 minutes, the tire was nearly dry to the touch, leaving very little residue on my finger. \u00a0Based on this, I do not expect this product to sling when applied properly (How to Avoid Tire Dressing Sling<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The finish was very dark, with a nice level of shine, that was not too glossy, and not too matte. \u00a0It was actually perfect for my particular taste, however Forma does indicate that the product can be layered for additional shine or diluted up to 2:1 (water:product) to reduce shine.<\/p>\n

As the name implies, RVP Trim Shine can also be used on plastic and vinyl surfaces such as interior and exterior trim. \u00a0My personal vehicle has a wiper cowl that is beginning to fade, so I figured it would be a great place to try RVP on trim.<\/p>\n

As with the tires, RVP was very easy to apply to the trim and went on evenly without any real effort. \u00a0The final result was a considerably darker piece of plastic that looked very natural.<\/p>\n

This was my first time using this product, so I cannot weigh in on how long the product lasts, but I do intend to do some more testing on my personal vehicle and I will leave a comment below with my findings. \u00a0My initial impressions are that the product is very easy to use and produces great looking trim and tires. \u00a0The bottle does indicate that this can be used on leather and interior plastics for UV protection, but I do not prefer shiny leather or interior plastics so I did not experiment with either of these applications. \u00a0If this product proves to hold up as well, or better, then my current go-to tire and trim products, I will\u00a0certainly consider using it\u00a0on a regular basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
