{"id":2137,"date":"2010-06-22T06:00:05","date_gmt":"2010-06-22T10:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/?p=2137"},"modified":"2016-11-16T12:43:28","modified_gmt":"2016-11-16T17:43:28","slug":"p21s-100-carnauba-paste-wax-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/p21s-100-carnauba-paste-wax-review\/","title":{"rendered":"P21S 100% Carnauba Paste Wax Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While on the search for another wax to compliment\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Blackfire-M32\/Wet-Diamond-P205\/16-oz-S1\/\" target=\"_blank\">Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant\u00a0<\/a>in my ever expanding arsenal of products, I came across\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/P21S-M14\/Pure-Carnauba-Wax-P136\/\" target=\"_blank\">P21S&#8217; 100% Carnauba Wax<\/a>.\u00a0 At a mere $50 per can, I figured, why not give it a shot!\u00a0 I mean, I have tried out the $100 jars, the $175 jars, and even some slightly more expensive paste waxes in the past, so trying out a $50 jar seems to fit the budget just a tad easier!<\/p>\n<h2>First glance:<\/h2>\n<p>This wax comes in a 6.2oz jar, slightly more than some other waxes I have purchased (6oz.)\u00a0 The bonus, it comes with a much more ergonomic applicator which makes applying the wax that much easier.\u00a0 The wax itself is white with a slight yellow hue to it.\u00a0 This tells me its going to be to a warm, glowing wax compared to a bright, reflective wax.<\/p>\n<h2>Application:<\/h2>\n<p>After immediately applying this wax to the first panel, I could tell this one was going to spread a long way.\u00a0 The saying holds true, &#8220;a little goes\u00a0 a long way&#8221; with this wax, making the purchase that much more worthwhile!\u00a0 Anytime you can get more for your buck is always a good thing!\u00a0 Super smooth application and a buttery feel while spreading!<\/p>\n<h2>Removal:<\/h2>\n<p>After applying to the entire car, I was &#8220;killing time&#8221; waiting for it to setup and cure on the paint like I do with BFWD.\u00a0 Well, after reading the label on the jar, I read &#8220;apply to one panel and remove&#8221;.\u00a0 Oops!\u00a0 I rushed over to start the removal and thought to myself, by the time I get to the end, its going to be a bear to remove.\u00a0 NOPE, the last panel was just as easy to remove as the first panel.\u00a0 The wax came off like butter!<\/p>\n<h2>Immediate satisfaction:<\/h2>\n<p>After wiping off the car, I tidied up the interior a bit, cleaned up my work area and then decided to check for slickness.\u00a0 I flung a towel across the hood of the car and it slid all the way across not losing speed at all.\u00a0 This wax was extremely slick and smooth to the touch!\u00a0 The paint had a warm glow to the look which really impressed both the client and myself.\u00a0 I always prep my cars with the same routine, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Menzerna-M10\/PO85RD-Polish-P217\/32-oz-S1\/\" target=\"_blank\">Menzerna 85rd<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Chemical-Guys-M31\/Extreme-EZ-Creme-Glaze-with-Acrylic-Shine-II-P192\/16-oz-S1\/\" target=\"_blank\">CGEZCG<\/a> then sealant\/wax, so I could tell the difference just a bit in comparison to other waxes I have used.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, I would put this wax up there with the higher dollar waxes.\u00a0 We all know the look of the car changes more with the prep involved, but if you are looking for a warm glowing end result, this should be your go to wax!<\/p>\n<p>(Photo courtesy of Esoteric Auto Detail. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/2006-mercedes-benz-sl500\/\" target=\"_blank\">SL500<\/a> prepped with P21S 100% Carnauba Wax)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4061\/4705457699_fa04bd1936_b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"505\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Items used for this review:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/P21S-M14\/Pure-Carnauba-Wax-P136\/\" target=\"_blank\">P21S 100% Carnauba Paste Wax<\/a><br \/>\nSupplied applicator<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/DI-Microfiber-M13\/All-Purpose-Towel-P103\/16-x-16-S1\/\" target=\"_blank\">DI MF<\/a> towel for removal<\/p>\n<address>Eric Schuster<\/address>\n<address><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enviousautodetailing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Envious Auto Detailing<\/a><br \/>\nOrange County, CA<br \/>\n<\/address>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>P21S has always been praised for their Concours Wax, but how does their 100% Carnauba Paste Wax stack up?
