“So I’ve had my car for about a year now and I’ve noticed that my driver’s side floor mat has a few “dead spots” where my heels would rest while driving. What would be the best way for me to get the natural fluffiness back from my carpets? These spots don’t make it all that comfortable anymore to drive barefoot. lol<\/p>\n

I would clean the floor mat first, nothing fancy just some mild cleaner and a garden hose. Hang to dry on a line. Highly important to rinse the carpet thoroughly\u00a0or it will wick up the grime and stiffen the pile.<\/p>\n

When the mat is about dry, brush it with a semi-stiff brush, nothing like a wire brush, but more like a floor cleaning brush that you probably already have around the house. Brush it in a N,S,E,W direction, and allow to finish drying.<\/p>\n

If the spot is void of any pile you are out of luck, and you may need to buy new floor mats.<\/p>\n
