medium to minor level paint correction service with the application of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/CarPro-M53\/Gliss-P1568\/30-ml-S2\/\">Carpro Gliss<\/a> for the paint and headlights.\u00a0 A week after our conversation the owner informed me that a foreign substance had bonded to his car.\u00a0 Upon inspection, I noticed calcium deposits had bonded to the driver side of his car.\u00a0 There was also additional paint marring and deep scratches from the owner&#8217;s desperate attempts to fix the problem.\u00a0 Leaving these deposits on his car for an extended period of time would lead to an auto body shop repair.\u00a0 I was, fortunately, able to find time to take care of his car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/923\/28376974537_32aa853429_b.jpg\" alt=\"Calcium Deposits 1\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/922\/42342207485_7063858c6e_b.jpg\" alt=\"Calcium Deposits 3\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After some testing, distilled white vinegar became the product of choice:<\/p>\n<p>To be frank, I do not like using household products on cars.\u00a0 I imagine these products are not produced with car care in mind.\u00a0 But I also am open to appropriately thinking outside the box when the time and situation call for such actions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/845\/28377111377_12d25f7f9d_b.jpg\" alt=\"calcium deposit removal\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I soaked a microfiber applicator in vinegar for a few minutes. \u00a0Then I merely pressed it against the affected areas. \u00a0I kept my window of 15 minutes maximum time before flushing my working area with water. \u00a0I found this to be the most appropriate plan of action at the time.\u00a0 It took a couple of applications over each affected area for the calcium deposits to fully release its grip on the surface. \u00a0I used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Gyeon-M91\/WaterSpot-P1427\/500-ml-S1\/\">Gyeon Water Spot<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Wolfgang-M85\/Uber-Rinseless-Wash-P1311\/\">Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash<\/a> clean up the loosened deposits.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/842\/43197232042_20c1ff0285_b.jpg\" alt=\"applicator shot\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After another thorough wash, I would perform my usual decontamination process.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/834\/42342282005_72a0b368a9_b.jpg\" alt=\"iron removal\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thin Paint!\u00a0 Most readings were between 80 to 110 microns.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Rupes-M62\/Quarz-Gloss-Medium-Gel-Compound-P890\/250-ml-S1\/\">Rupes Medium Quarz Gel Compound<\/a> became my polish of choice for leveling defects with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Rupes-M62\/Green-Medium-Foam-Pad-P886\/6-S2\/\">Green Rupes pad<\/a>.\u00a0 I was intentionally taking a gentle approach.\u00a0 A couple of times I would stop to see how much paint was being removed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/843\/42342293165_e6ca16e13b_b.jpg\" alt=\"measurements\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I used a microfiber glove with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Menzerna-M10\/Fast-Gloss-400-Compound-P688\/8-oz-S2\/\">FG400<\/a> for some of the deep scratches that were in tight areas working in a small proximity.\u00a0 Overall I tried to minimize the use of abrasives over raised body lines, not knowing the prep history leaving the dealership.\u00a0 Obviously, some deep scratches
