I have been testing out Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax<\/a> (Spray Sealant) in a variety of scenarios independent of Jescar Ultralock+ (hand applied sealant).<\/p>\n

Between the two, Ultralock+ is the more robust standalone, with Ceramic Sealant being a quicker standalone option.\u00a0 Using both, the application (or 2) of Jescar Ultralock+ with occasional applications of Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax (post maintenance wash) will yield the most optimal results in durability and beautifully fun hydrophobic behavior.\u00a0 I wanted to match Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax as a topper to Carpro Essence Plus<\/a>, which is a non abrasive cleaner sealant that has some SLIGHT filling abilities (hide imperfections).<\/p>\n

What happens when someone tries to remove bugs left on too long on an unprotected surface using kitchen household scrubbing options.\u00a0 Making a not so good situation significantly worse.\u00a0 A green scrub pad was used.\u00a0 In addition to this, the dealership manager suggested they could fix the problem.\u00a0 Fortunately, they did not get the opportunity to fix it, making it (if possible) worse.<\/p>\n

\"Before<\/p>\n

Making matters worst, the paint was very thin in many areas.\u00a0 I also noticed signs of aging and near clear coat failure on a car that may have never been protected and probably not detailed significantly in its life.\u00a0 This was consistent on most of the vertical panels.\u00a0 Polishing improved the condition somewhat.\u00a0 The worst areas received a modest two step correction.\u00a0 But the car remained in somewhat rough shape.<\/p>\n

I started with the application of Carpro Essence Plus and removed after an hour of 1st applying.\u00a0\u00a0 Essence Plus on a foam applicator (below), working one-third of the large panels at a time, before applying more product.<\/p>\n

Wipe off was incredibly easy with a 300GSM (somewhat thin) new microfiber towel, flipping the towel about 4 times throughout the removal of excess product.<\/p>\n

The appearance improved slightly, which is a sign of filling in the defects with the condition of this car.\u00a0 Initially I did not notice a significant filling effect\u00a0 To the eye.\u00a0 But I had not applied Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax yet.<\/p>\n

I gave it some time before using Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax. 5 to 6 hours before application.\u00a0 The combination almost looked like a glaze, or a (beauty) wax that naturally fills.\u00a0 The appearance was not on par with what another step of paint correction would offer.\u00a0 I noticed the next step of Ceramic Wax with Essence Plus set created a more noticeable filling effect, comparable to some waxes.\u00a0 It was the COMBINATION of Carpro Essence Plus and Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax that really showed the filling effect and consequentially the gloss boost.<\/p>\n

\"After<\/p>\n

Obviously not perfect!\u00a0 But I and the owner of this car believe it is a good combination from the standpoint of looks and hydrophobic behavior that has lasted for months.\u00a0 I was able to see the hydrophobic behavior firsthand.\u00a0 The owner is not obsessive about washing and caring for his car as some of us detailing nerds are.\u00a0 Seeing hydrophobic behavior on a heavily driven vehicle without a wash, was impressive.<\/p>\n

In the end I wanted to test out an option for those people that may fall under these categories of; someone who did not possess a polisher, only was comfortable performing mild correction especially on rough paint, and for someone whose paint was thin or could not really justify more aggressive correction for whatever reason.\u00a0 I think this is a solid alternative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
