Jescar Ultralock+<\/a> is a little different than Jescar Powerlock+ and a needed newer product for the current times.\u00a0 I consider Powerlock+ to be a solid product but dated in comparison to Ultralock+.<\/p>\n

For years Jescar Powerlock had been regarded as a respectable sealant for the enthusiasts and professional detailers alike.\u00a0 Part of the reason for its popularity is the short 3 hour single application cure time for a reasonably robust level of protection.\u00a0\u00a0 A majority of hand applied sealants that were popular or introduced during the height of its polarity had a 12 hour cure time.\u00a0 Powerlock may not have been the best performer of its class, but it held its own and sometimes outperformed products that could not be exposed to moisture for 12 hours.<\/p>\n

Technology has changed obviously in the past\u00a0 few years, as SIo2 enthused sealants have become more common.\u00a0 Some of the manufacturers’ newer formulas do boast greater hydrophobic behavior, some added chemical resistance, and a modest increase in durability relative to previous paint sealant formulas.\u00a0 This had me curious about Jescar Ultralock Plus.\u00a0 Jescar Ultralock+ also boasts a 3 hour cure time.<\/p>\n

I have some experience with Jescar Ultralock Plus.\u00a0 This Audi A8 is one of the vehicles I will demonstrate the application process Ultralock.\u00a0 Ease of application can have two meanings, weighing speed versus finicky application qualities.\u00a0 Many people have gravitated towards just spray on protection for ease of application.\u00a0 Some have resisted using these products due to spray on SIO2 products being finicky (leaving streaks if the environment and application procedure are not in sink).<\/p>\n

The foam applicator was used here.\u00a0 Working in the product using short circular motions, typical of sealant or wax application.<\/p>\n

I used the Rag Company Blue Eagle Edge removal towels which are 500GMS.\u00a0 You could use 350GSM purple (slightly thinner), which I have used at times to remove other sealants.\u00a0 Though the blue colored 500GSM towels are my dedicated towel for these products.\u00a0 I like fluffy towels especially for safety and I want to test\/demonstrate the ease of removal with a towel not built for removing difficult material like a thin 200 or 275GSM towel.\u00a0 If I have to use those towels especially (with effort) in today’s age to remove a wax or sealant, I won’t use it.<\/p>\n

I found the application process of this paste sealant to be rather seamless.\u00a0 The wipe off was not a problem.\u00a0 I also played with the window of removal for evaluation purposes in a non-closed environment.\u00a0 Due to some humidity present, I could argue one would have a better time applying Jescar Ultralock+ than the Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax<\/a>.\u00a0 Although Ultralock would inevitably take somewhat longer to apply.\u00a0 I could argue if you are someone who enjoys the experience of using wax, you will really enjoy the experience.\u00a0 You are also getting a more robust product that realistically can last 6 months or more based upon maintenance.\u00a0 Jescar Ceramic Wax as a topper or standalone is a very good product.\u00a0 It is not my clear favorite Si02 spray product, but would make a great companion to to Jescar Ultralock Plus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
