<\/p>\nI am fiercely competitive arguing appropriately that I am a superior option over other detailing businesses.\u00a0 I also have good relationships with many detailers in Gainesville, and of course throughout the world.\u00a0 I have been passively targeted, which also is quite motivating.<\/p>\n

There is a certain etiquette that comes to running a business, that is more revealing to the public than someone’s self-proclaimed reputation.\u00a0 From observation, rude conduct to other detailers or customers you feel threatened by does not help you.\u00a0 It often harms you.\u00a0 I will not use the word EGO, rather the word INSECURITY in who they are as a business and person.<\/p>\n
I have booked, what would be considered to some people, very expensive details based upon the following from customer feedback.\u00a0 I do not try to tell someone what they wanted to hear.\u00a0 I communicated expertise (without selling).\u00a0 I am not being the ‘my secret techniques’ guy, when you can look up detailing tips on YouTube.\u00a0 I am not OVERTLY showing off accreditation by coating companies, that customers have become less impressed with.\u00a0 Telling someone I may not be capable of delivering a result he or she called about!\u00a0 I have lost potential customers, no doubt, doing all of those as well.\u00a0 I really love my clients.\u00a0 I do not know if I would have the same affinity for what I do or the people I work with if I changed something so fundamental about myself and business for a sale.<\/p>\n
I remember being a sponsor for a major car event in my area.\u00a0 A competitor interrupted (intentionally) a conversation I was having with someone about his car, to hand him his business card.\u00a0 Some of the pictures at the event included one in which he stared at me uncomfortably.<\/p>\n
When you are good detailer you tell everyone.\u00a0 When you provide great service experience, your clients become your biggest promoters.\u00a0 Multiple clients of mine who fall in that category were previously turned off by other business owners’ behavior.\u00a0 It is unfortunate and a reminder to focus on what really matters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
