When it comes to maintaining a clean, well detailed vehicle, a good pre-wash is essential. I recently had the chance to try out the Bilt Hamber Touch-Less<\/a> and this product absolutely impressed me.<\/p>\n

My goal with any pre-wash is to efficiently remove as much dirt and grime as possible before making physical contact with the paint. Touch-Less delivered on this promise with flying colors. It effortlessly lifted away stubborn surface contamination, leaving a visibly cleaner car before I even laid a wash mitt on it. This not only saves time but also significantly reduces the risk of introducing scratches during the contact wash stage.<\/p>\n

For application, I utilized my IK e Foam Pro 2, which provides excellent foam generation. When it came to dilution, I followed Bilt Hamber’s recommended 2% PIR (Panel Impact Ratio), which translated to adding approximately 2 ounces of Touch-Less to my 50oz reservoir. This ratio struck the perfect balance between cleaning power and efficiency. For more application instructions, check out the label below.<\/p>\n

What truly surprised me was the cling and thickness of the foam. After just 1-2 minutes of dwell time, the foam was incredibly dense and uniform, clinging tenaciously to every curve and crevice of the vehicle. This exceptional dwell time is crucial for allowing the product to encapsulate and lift contaminants effectively. It was a joy to watch the dirt literally run off the car with the foam.<\/p>\n

Don’t just take my word for it, check out the below two photos. The first was the foam upon application, while the second shows the same panel at close to two minutes of dwell time. This pre-wash truly sticks!<\/p>\n

Beyond its impressive cleaning capabilities, another significant advantage of Bilt Hamber Touch-Less is its safety for existing protective layers. Investments in waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings can be costly, so it is vital that a pre-wash does not strip away these valuable layers. Touch-Less rinsed away cleanly, taking the grime with it, without compromising the integrity of my paint protection.<\/p>\n

I can confidently say that Bilt Hamber Touch-Less<\/a> is my favorite pre-wash at this time and it is highly recommended for anyone seeking an effective, safe, and easy to use product. It does a phenomenal job of cleaning up dirt and grime, rinses away beautifully, and, most importantly, plays nicely with any existing protective layers.
