Recently, I had the chance to test out the new Rupes DA Wool Pads (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Rupes-M62\/DA-Coarse-Wool-Polishing-Pad-P3742\/5-S1\/\">Coarse<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Rupes-M62\/DA-Medium-Wool-Polishing-Pad-P3747\/3-S1\/\">Medium<\/a>) in the 3&#8243; size on my Griot&#8217;s G9 polisher (3&#8243; backing plate), paired with P&#038;S <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/PS-M110\/Rehab-Correction-Creme-P3405\/8-oz-S2\/\">Rehab Correction Creme<\/a> and P&#038;S <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/PS-M110\/Therapy-Final-Polish-P3824\/8-oz-S1\/\">Therapy Final Polish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>First Impressions &#038; Key Changes<\/h2>\n<p>The DA Wool Pads replaced the older BW Series Wool Pads, and Rupes did not just slap on a new label, they redesigned them with performance and durability in mind. Here is what stood out:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cutting Ability<\/strong> &#8211; The Coarse pad paired with Rehab had no problem tackling oxidation, swirls, and other imperfections. Despite its aggressive nature, it surprised me with how well it finished down, leaving less haze than expected.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Refinement<\/strong> &#8211; The Medium pad offered excellent balance. It still had enough bite to correct moderate defects but refined the finish beautifully when paired with Therapy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consistency<\/strong> &#8211; Not once during my polishing did I experience shedding, something that can really slow you down with lower quality wool pads.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n<p>Rupes nailed the redesign with the DA Wool Pads. The shorter fibers, cylindrical shape, and 100% Italian wool construction all come together for pads that not only correct quickly but also finish down cleaner than expected. Even the Coarse pad allowed me to transition smoothly into finishing steps without excessive haze cleanup.<\/p>\n<p>For anyone still using the BW Series, the DA Wool Pads are a worthy upgrade.
