to describe the business partnership that involves caring for people&#8217;s cars.\u00a0 The situations I am about to describe along with the topic do not pertain to clients.\u00a0 I use the word customers for a reason.\u00a0 Clients invested in the value provided, actually support the business.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-48142\" src=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/img_1_1746945608296-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Detailer Rodney Of Mirror Reflections Auto Spa\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/img_1_1746945608296-768x1023.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/img_1_1746945608296-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/img_1_1746945608296.jpg 1013w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Someone asked in a detailing group, who were the easiest clients to work with?\u00a0 I responded by starting with the notion that this may be counterintuitive to some people.\u00a0 It was clients who were not so quick to book with me.\u00a0 They researched my business, before ever contacting me.\u00a0 They watched my YouTube videos.\u00a0 They READ my website.\u00a0 When we communicated, they welcomed a consultation versus spastically demanding a price as if that is the only thing that matters when booking a detailing service.\u00a0 One of my clients told me, she believes a major reason for her positive experiences is that she is looking to (cry once) address all of the concerns before the fact.\u00a0 They wanted to find the detailing business before they focus on specific service and PRICING options.\u00a0 Difficult ones are focused on getting this process out of the way quickly, with the mindset of arbitrarily complaining and ranting after the fact.<\/p>\n<p>My clients tend to not have complaints about products and services they purchase in general.<\/p>\n<h2>The Low Baller<\/h2>\n<p>The problem here is they know your price and that there are cheaper alternatives.\u00a0 But they want your effort at the cheap alternative price.\u00a0 Demanding less compensation for the requested labor is inherently disrespectful.\u00a0 But that person is very possibly looking for ways to be offended and to get out of paying you.\u00a0 Beware.<\/p>\n<h2>Constant Complainer\/Threatening About Quality Expectations<\/h2>\n<p>I compare this to being on a date.\u00a0 If your interaction begin with your date complaining about a previous relationship, how would you feel?<\/p>\n<h2>Treats You Like (Especially In A Derogatory Manor) An Employee VS Business Owner<\/h2>\n<p>This has always been a problem in this industry.\u00a0 To me a major red flag.\u00a0 People like this generally never act like your boss when they don&#8217;t like the result of what they insisted on.\u00a0 They are only treating you like their employee when it is convenient to them.\u00a0 It also carries an undertone of them looking down on you.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-48143\" src=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20191124_152352-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Detailer Rodney Of Mirror Reflections Auto Spa\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20191124_152352-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20191124_152352-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20191124_152352-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20191124_152352-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.detailedimage.com\/Ask-a-Pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20191124_152352-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In reality, people who display these characteristics tend to fall into MORE THAN 1 category.\u00a0 When in doubt and or you do not have great systems and your intuition is proverbially screaming at you, trust your gut instinct.\u00a0 Walk away. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is a reason why I use the word &#8216;clients&#8217;
