This works great. It doesn't leave that greasy, nasty looking shine that the used car lots seem to love that will sling everywhere. It makes the tires look like a satin gloss I'd say. You can layer it but I don't think that is necessary. I spray this in wheel wells after I clean them and it works great there too. Also can't beat the price. Only con I'd say is that it doesn't seem like a spray and let sit like it says. I spray it on an applicator sponge first then wipe it on the tire. Works great, and also I'm not wiping off the rims afterwards.
Great product , I wash my car once a week so I'm not worried about it lasting long. Works for me
I really like Optimum products, but I'm not getting good longevity from Tire Shine, even compared to very similar products like Poorboy's Bold-n-Brite and Geyon Preserve.
Advertised as a spray. Not at all, very thick! You need to put on with a applicator. The product works well and looks great.
The best tire shine I have found so far. I prefer to spray it on an applicator, then onto the tire.It dries quickly, gives a nice natural gloss, & doesn't sling. A great product
This a really good product. I have been using Adam's VRT for years now and this is a close 2nd place. It goes on easy and I actually believe I put too much product on. I had some slinging on the wheel wells after application. A little goes a long way and I will cut back application next time around. Winter time here in Chicago and my tires still look good after 1 week. Nice dark matte finish.
The product is marketed as a "spray" but it's a "gel" in a spray bottle. It's doesn't spray very well as it disperses as more of a stream than a spray. As a result, it requires you wipe the tires and work the product into all the little grooves in the tire's sidewall. That's a mess. Further, there's no way to wipe a whitewall or white letter tire without getting the white surfaces dirty. Lastly, it doesn't shine at all. It looks clean. It's a matte shine, at best, and that's a stretch. I'd say one level above flat.
I tried watering the product down so it would spray. Didn't really help. I also tried it on the interior vinyl. It creates an inconsistent surface that's spotty. Some parts matte looking while others are still flat.
Overall, I'd sum up my impression of the product as disappointed. So much so, I threw it away in the trash after two uses. The Michelin product was water based and would not damage tires. Michelin's product blew the Optimum product away and it was less money too. Unfortunately, Michelin stopped making it, which is what prompted me to try Optimum in the first place.

This is a good tire dressing product for the price. It doesn't actually provide much shine or gloss. In fact, after application the surface looks clean and low gloss, almost matte. Tires stay clean looking even after a rainy day. Very easy to apply.
Works great, it's been on for over a week and still maintains a fresh application look. I had a few sling shots on the doors, but I'm sure it was due to my not wiping off the excess, I'll know better next time I apply.
Optimum Tire Shine is a favorite of mine. After a thorough cleaning, I spray Optimum Tire Shine on the tires and allow it to dwell the rest of the detail. This allows this water-based tire shine to absorb into the rubber. By the time I'm done, there's virtually no excess product to wipe off. Optimum Tire Shine leaves a fantastic low-gloss look that won't sling. And being water-based, it won't make the tires "brown" with repeated use.
