Congratulations to Optimum Polymer Technologies founder Dr. David Ghodoussi, sometimes better known as “Dr. G.”, for his 2023 IDA Hall of Fame Induction! IDA Hall of Famers are nominated by their peers for their contributions to professional detailing in the areas of innovation, advancement, education, and leadership. We had the pleasure to be at the IDA Annual Business Meeting and Awards Presentation at Mobile Tech Expo MTE when Dr. G. was inducted.
We have been selling Optimum products for as long as I can remember and I want to give some recognition to Dr. Ghodoussi. Optimum is known for so many products but most importantly introducing one of the first ceramic paint coatings to the US and we all know what ceramics coatings have done for the industry.

Optimum Polymer Technologies, the manufacturer of Optimum Car Care Products, was founded in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 01, 2001 by Dr. David Ghodoussi. Prior to this, Dr. Ghodoussi worked for over 12 years as an Organic Chemist overseeing research and development focused in polymers and automotive paint formulations.
Dr. Ghodoussi received his Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Polymer and Organic Chemistry from Oregon State University and his MBA from University of Memphis. He also holds Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and in Chemistry from the University of California in Santa Barbara.
