Menzerna Power Lock Sealant Review with Pictures

Menzerna Power Lock Sealant Review with Pictures

I knew Menzerna had been in the making for their first produced sealant, and in early March a few of the DI team members had the opportunity to test the product and see how it would stack up with the rest of the Menzerna line that is considered the standard for paint correcting compounds and polishes by many top pro’s.

The product description from the site reads :

Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant is Menzerna’s first pure sealant that will give your paint a deep shine and valuable protection. The polymers tightly link together to form an invisible barrier against all kinds of contaminants. It will repel industrial fallout, road grime, brake dust, moisture, bugs, dirt, dust, etc. This makes cleaning your vehicle in the future much easier and safer. The Power Lock also offers an amazing shine that makes any color paint look amazing. It does not have that cheap plastic like look, instead it has a deeper shine and gloss that rivals carnauba waxes. You can apply this product by hand or with a buffer. Use the Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant and you’ll see why Menzerna is regarded as one of the top manufacturers of high quality detailing supplies.

The description couldn’t be written any more perfect. To add to the information and give you something to compare it to I’ll tell you this. The ease of application and removal is very similar to that of Blackfire Wet Diamond. We all know how much we love that product and how easy it is to use so Menzerna has added yet another superior product to their detailing arsenal. Did I mention it is extremely slick too?  You can apply using a Porter Cable 7424 or by hand. When using the PC a Blue or Black pad works best. One quarter sized drop will go a long way. Apply until the product residue is barely visible, then add more. I typically use speed 4.5 for this step. It gives me a thin even layer which makes for extra easy removal. If you’re applying by hand, simply use a Microfiber Applicator or a Foam Applicator and apply. The one thing you don’t have to worry about is this sealant sticking to the paint. Make your way around the entire car then come back to wipe away using your ReThickulous Towel.

The only thing I can’t fully document yet is the durability. It’s only been about 3 weeks so far but as of now, the future is promising. If it holds up like Blackfire, you can expect 3-6 solid months of protection depending on conditions. I will report back when a few months have passed on any updates.

In the meantime, here are some cars that have been sealed using Menzerna Power Lock via Blue LC Pad.

First up is a 2008 SL600 Benz V12 Bi Turbo

How about a 2004 Commemorative Corvette in Lemans Blue Metallic?

Don’t forget silver looks great too – 2005 Porsche Carrera S

Why not one more black car? – 2009 BMW 328i

Once Menzerna Power Lock is on the market longer, I have no doubt it will be one of the most talked about sealants that delivers unbeatable results. Also remember, there are two sizes available to fit your needs…a 16oz bottle for the weekend warriors and the 32 oz size for the pro’s.
