The CarPro PolyShave Decon Block is by far my favorite tool for claying a vehicle. The standard clay has been unnecessary for a while now and there have been a ton of variants of clay alternatives that have hit the market. Towels, pads, blocks, etc all having their own unique pros and cons. However, they all have similar construction on the part that actually removes the contamination. This rubberized polymer magic. So it comes down to form factor and price.

The form factor is really why I love this product so much. It is the perfect size for my hand, contours well, easy to hold, etc. Small enough to get inside door handles but easy enough to quickly run across an entire hood as well.

Here you can see the size of the block. Foam is thick enough to hold excess lubrication to help it from sticking. I normally just dunk it in my bucket of soapy water and it works perfectly.

It is very quick at removing the contamination, just a couple passes and your paint is perfectly smooth. When contaminants build-up, or if you accidentally drop it, simply rinse it off with water.

Then there’s the price. This is $9.99!!! Similar products are $25 and upwards of $50+. The value is absolutely insane.

The combination of price, results, and form factor makes this the absolute best tool for claying your vehicle. Hands down. You will not be disappointed by adding this to your arsenal.
