Product Review: Stoner More Shine

Another amazingly simple to use product from Stoner that provides great results.  If you’re looking for a simple to use tire dressing that applies in seconds and can last several weeks depending on the conditions you live in, this is certainly a product worth trying.  I have personally been a long time user of CarPro PERL as a tire dressing, however on truck tires with side lugs or tires like the Good Years shown on this Jeep Grand Cherokee I have always hated hand applying with an applicator due to the design on the side wall of the tire.  That is where a product like Stoner More Shine becomes handy due to the aerosol design for an extremely easy application.

Below is an example on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that I recently worked on.  The tires were thoroughly cleaned with Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner mixed at a 1:1 ratio and a wheel brush.

As most already probably know you want to have a clean wheel and tire prior to application of More Shine.

This is following the application of one coat with More Shine.  Don’t worry if you get overspray on the wheels, as the product wipes off quite easily with no effects on the wheels.  Application literally took 10-15 seconds and instantly gives a nice glossy sheen.  Tire dressings are often very opinion based on just how much gloss you prefer, personally, I like more of a natural low sheen finish which just a single application will provide if left to dry.  If you are the type like likes a high gloss dressing look, simply follow up with a second application after the first has fully dried which is typically within a few minutes of application.

As a final conclusion on Stoner More Shine it is a product that I will likely keep for certain types of tires due to the ease of application as being very reasonably priced.  Stoner’s has typically lasted a few weeks on our personal vehicles, even following several rainy days here in Pennsylvania.
