Being “a certain way” about how services are performed on your car can mean completely opposite things to different people. For instance, if you’re having a full-body PPF wrap or an extensive paint correction/detail service, you may insist on *nothing* being removed from the car. In my experience, most who feel this way have it rooted in a reasonable fear of something being damaged during the process or it not ideally fitting back together…thus, they want 100% untouched as it was when they took delivery. And that’s a fair way to view things.
But for others, they may want some measure of items removed prior to the service being performed to limit exposed edges or to address paint concerns that are otherwise inoperable with parts blocking full access. Removal may be quite complex or it may be extremely simple (such as removal of badges or emblems).
