Ask a Pro Detailer

Detailed Image Ask A Pro Blog. What it is, and How to Use it.

You’ve found your way onto the Detailed Image Ask A Pro Blog, so you’re either a regular customer or reader of the blog, you were referred to it through one of the many automotive forums, or it came up in your search for detailing products and processes. So what is it exactly, and how does one get the most out of it?

When we first came up with the idea, we knew we wanted to create the most comprehensive collection of detailing knowledge available…anywhere! As our brainstorming sessions continued, we knew we were onto something that would completely change the way enthusiasts and detailers alike researched products, processes, and challenges for keeping cars looking their best. The decision was also made to invite highly talented detailers around the country to contribute and share their knowledge and opinions. The readers and enthusiasts gain valuable knowledge, and the detailer/contributors get a private forum where they can showcase their skills…a win-win situation!

And since the Ask A Pro Blog is managed by Professional Detailers, you don’t have to sort through all of the information to figure out which person actually is qualified to provide the proper answer or advice! Have you ever researched a product or procedure on a public forum where there are 37 different answers or opinions, and you have to read through every single one and try to determine which is the most appropriate, or who really knows what they’re talking about? That’s a big investment in time that you could actually be out detailing your car instead of sorting through potentially incorrect information.

Despite the fact that the Ask A Pro Blog is sponsored by Detailed Image, the content that is provided by our detailers is, and always will be of an unbiased nature. Detailed Image carries most of the major brands available on the market, so our contributors have the ability to use whatever products they like. When I select detailers to be a part of the Ask A Pro Team, one of the first things that I tell them is that we write about and recommend what we use and what we like…we do not force a writeup or recommendation on anything. Integrity and professionalism are keys to how Detailed Image conducts their business, it is how our detailers manage their own businesses, and it is how we present ourselves and our knowledge to the public on the Ask A Pro Blog. In short, there are no incentives / perks / spiffs for our contributors to write about or use specific products. We write about and recommend what we use, and we use what we write about.

Now that we’ve covered a bit about the history and concept behind the Ask A Pro Blog, let’s take a look at some of its features so that you can get the most out of your research.

Google Custom Search:

At the top of each page, you will notice a Google Custom Search box for the Ask A Pro Blog. With the extensive amount of information and articles we’re producing, you may find that a simple search can yield faster results. Many times you’ll find that we already have articles written on the subject you’re looking for. The navigation bar on the left of the page has all of the articles broken down into categories, which makes it very easy to find information. For instance if you’re looking for content on engine bay detailing, then just click on the category of “Engine Bay Care”. But if your research falls outside of the pre-established categories, then just use the Google Custom Search. Let’s say you drive a BMW and want to research product recommendations, processes, or full details that we may have written about, then just type BMW into the Google search bar, and it will bring up everything that we’ve done with BMW’s. Give it a try!

Interact With Pros!

A great feature in the Ask A Pro Blog is the ability for readers to interact with the Professional Detailers who author the articles! If you have a comment, or additional questions, then just scroll to the bottom of the article where you can leave a reply in the comment box. Our authors enjoy the interaction with the readers, so don’t be shy…post away!

Ask A Question:

If you’ve already looked through the category list and have done your Google Custom Search yet weren’t able to find the information you were looking for, then you can submit your question directly via email to our team of professional detailers. We will either reply to you directly, or create a blog post out of it if we feel that the question and answers would be beneficial to the readers of the Ask A Pro Blog. When you see a blog post that begins with “Ask-A-Pro:”, then you know that it was a submitted question by one of our readers. We have also provided a “Submitted Questions” category on the navigation bar to the left.

Find A Detailer:

On this page you will find a complete listing and map for our contributing Professional Detailers / Authors. Each one of these detailers has been hand selected to be a part of our Ask A Pro Team, and they all come highly recommended because of their skill level and knowledge of paint correction and detailing. If you don’t see a Professional Detailer listed that is close to you (yet), then please stay tuned because I am continually getting contacted by detailers all across the U.S. that are interested in becoming part of the Team.

Subscribe via Email or RSS:

We also installed a nice feature to help you follow the latest and greatest information that has been published on the Detailed Image Ask A Pro Blog…subscription via email or RSS.
