2015 Corvette C7 Stringray Z51: Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating

We recently completed a 2-step paint correction and ceramic coating on one of our good clients new Corvette C7 Stingray Z51. We have maintained this vehicle since it was purchased so there was no embedded contamination that needed removal, only the dealer installed swirls and a few RIDS (Random Isolated Deep Scratches) here and there.

With the Corvette all ready to go after a quick wash it was time to pull it in and inspect what we were up against.

After thoroughly inspecting the vehicle, which actually wasn’t too bad, we were able to do a 1-step on the majority of the vehicle. The roof had some bad damage that needed some more aggressive methods but we were extremely happy with the results we achieved. For the polishing steps we used Shine Supply Classic Cut on a Rupes 21 with an Adams Orange Foam Cutting Pad. With varying arm speed and pressure, we were able to get the desired result with only one step!

Vehicle going under the knife:

Front fender defect – before and after:

Nasty roof damage – before and after:

Trunk RIDS – before and after:

Rear quarter panel defect – before and after:

After the correction was complete we did a CarPro Eraser wipe down followed by BEEDS Prime. Then it was finally ready for the coupe de grace, BEEDS HD Ceramic coating.

We were not able to get any after shots as the vehicle was not finished until late into the night and needed to be taken the next day.

Overall us, as well as our client, were extremely happy with our results and this beautiful car is now corrected and protected to the highest degree.
