Gyeon Q2 Fabric Coat is a super easy to use product which protects fabric materials from dirt, liquids and UV rays. It is designed to create a self cleaning surface lasting over 6 months. Below we will discuss applying Gyeon Q2 Fabric Coat in 4 steps on a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera S.
1. Clean
Clean the convertible top with your favorite fabric cleaner like Gyeon Fabric Cleaner. Spray directly and wipe the surface with an all purpose microfiber towel. Once dry, if there is any remaining lint, take a piece of masking tape and tap the surface to pick up the lint.
2. Mask
Mask off everything surrounding the convertible top with plastic sheeting. This will prevent the Fabric Coat overspray from settling on the paint, glass or trim. Use masking tape to secure the sheeting and cover any remaining trim.
3. Apply
Spray Gyeon Q2 Fabric Coat liberally to a cool, dry surface. Brush in the coating with a dedicated boars hair brush. Allow to cure for a minimum of 30 minutes and apply a second layer. Less is more, more product doesn’t mean more protection. Two thin layers will outperform 1 thick layer.
4. Cure
Allow the product to cure before exposing it to the elements. IR lamps can accelerate the curing process. Expect 6 months of hydrophobic properties, dirt repellence and UV protection on any fabric surface!
