When a product becomes as popular as DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss, expectations are high for whatever comes next. Rather than releasing a simple “version 2,” DIY Detail went back to the drawing board and created something significantly different and in my opinion, better. The result is DIY Detail Envie Ceramic Spray Sealant, a product that builds on the success of Ceramic Gloss but delivers such a noticeable upgrade that it earned an entirely new name.
Evolution Beyond Ceramic Gloss
Envie retains the user friendly nature that made Ceramic Gloss so popular, but the formula has been enhanced to deliver greater slickness, improved durability, and broader versatility. It is designed to be a true spray sealant that is quick to apply, highly adaptable, and capable of protecting all exterior surfaces.
Application
Envie could not be easier to use. The application process is truly spray and wipe, it is that simple! There is no complicated prep or special conditions required, making it ideal for both quick touch-ups and full maintenance details.
Quick Detailer
- Mist Envie directly onto the vehicle surface and wipe with a clean, dry plush microfiber towel. Buff lightly to achieve a streak-free, glossy finish. This method works perfectly for removing light dust, fingerprints, and fresh contamination.
Drying Aid
- After rinsing the vehicle and while it is still wet, lightly mist Envie into your drying towel and onto the exterior surface. Dry as normal, allowing the towel to glide effortlessly while leaving behind protection and gloss.
I personally tested Envie using both methods, and the results were immediately noticeable.
Performance & Versatility
The slickness is intense in the best way possible. As a drying aid, it allowed the towel to glide effortlessly across the surface, making the drying process faster, smoother, and safer. As a quick detailer, it easily removed light dust while minimizing drag and resistance.
Check out the photos below, which will show beading on the windshield followed by a spray of Envie, and one wipe of the drying towel. You can see the way the water reacts to the Envie, wanting to run off the surface with ease.
After application, Envie leaves behind a slick, water-resistant surface with excellent hydrophobic properties. Water beads and sheets effectively, helping repel dirt and debris so the vehicle stays cleaner for longer. The added UV protection also helps protect exterior surfaces from sun-related fading and degradation.
Durability is another strong point. Envie lasts 3-4 months, making it a great option for ongoing maintenance or as a standalone protection layer when time is limited. To be noted, make sure you avoid water for an hour after application.
In terms of Versatility, check out the video from DIY Detail below. While Envie is suggested to be used as a drying aid or quick detailer, there are so many other uses for this item!
