I decided to test this product out on the driver side floor mat out of our suburban, as it has not been cleaned since winter and was quite dirty. This product is very simple to use, with the first step in the process being a simple rinse of the mats with clean water from your hose.
Once you have fully rinsed the mats, you will simply spray Mat Renew Floor Mat Cleaner & Protectant directly onto the mat. You then want to take a brush like the DI Carpet Scrub Brush to work loose any dirt, mud or grime that might be on the mats.
At this point you will thoroughly rinse the mat and use either air or a DI All Purpose Microfiber Towel to dry the mat. Depending on how dirty the floor mat is you may need to repeat the cleaning step a second time.
Once fully cleaned you should be left with a nice natural looking finish, leaving your floor mats looking as good as new. If you prefer to have a slightly more glossy finish you may want to add another dressing to give a more glossy finish, as this product gives a more matte finish. Overall the product worked just as advertised and is worth having if you use this type of floor mats in your vehicles!
