I usually get asked the question “what’s a great way to remove dog hair?” and as a doggie dad of two Italian Greyhounds (Luca and Lola), I am fortunate because Italian Greyhounds are practically hairless and its something I don’t have issues with in my own vehicles. On occasion, I do get a customer vehicle that requires some dog hair removal. In the past, I’ve used everything from a pumice stone to those funky brushes you find at your local pet store. While browsing the new products on Detailed Image some time ago, I came across the Lilly Brush Mini Pet Hair Detailer. Here’s my review of this amazing little tool.
I had a client with dog hair in the cargo area of their BMW. I was doing this vehicle on-site for this client and I remembered I had packed the Lilly brush in my miscellaneous box. So I gave the Lilly Brush Mini Pet Hair Detailer a try for the first time. It took about 4 to 5 easy swipes for me to realize that this unassuming little tool was getting the job done! The brush is super compact and stores easy. This tool has now become a must-have in my tool box for situations such as this.
Made of rubber and plastic, the Lilly Brush handles pretty easy and does an amazing job of removing stubborn pet hair easily. Initially I had tried to simply vacuum the pet hair, but it was too imbedded in the BMW cargo area carpet.
Using the Lilly Brush is really easy. Simply comb the hair into small pile.
Lastly, vacuum up the pile of pet hair and its that easy.
The Lilly Brush is precise and can get into hard to reach areas to lift pet hair. I am curious to try this brush on hard to clean carpet such as Mercedes Benz trunk carpet. In my opinion one of the most frustrating carpet piles to work with.
After using the Lilly Brush, simply rinse with water and/or wipe clean with a damp towel to remove dirt and hair from the rubber blades.
So the next time I get asked the question, “what’s a great way to remove dog hair?” I will tell them to give the Lilly Brush Mini Pet Hair Detailer a try. I’m certain they will amazed at how well and easy it works.
