Jared Clasen is the owner of Upscale Detail.  The company’s motto is building a brand on passion, precision, and purpose.  Jared Clasen is a U.S. Army Infantry Officer turned entrepreneur, known for bring military discipline, precision, and leadership into the world of automotive care.  As the founder and CEO of Upscale Detail Co. in Columbus, Georgia, he has transformed a simple curiosity into a thriving premium auto spa known for its high-end detailing, ceramic coatings, paint protection film (PPF), and window tint services.  What began as a side project has evolved into a benchmark for luxury service and professionalism in the detailing industry.

Upscale Detail Co. has grown from a small mobile operation to one of the premier automotive care studios in the Southeast.  With a showroom and 4,000 square feet of specialized bays for PPF, ceramic coatings, and tint, the brand stands as a testament to what passion, discipline, and relentless commitment to quality can build.  For Jared Clasen, the mission goes far beyond making cars look their best.  It is about raising the bar the entire industry, one vehicle and one relationship at a time.

Rodney:  What inspired you to start Upscale Detail Co.?  What motivated you to focus on premium-level services?

Jared:  “I started Upscale out of curiosity.  While serving as an active-duty Infantry Officer, I discover detailing during a lull at Captain Career Course.  I soon realized how much I loved it.  My first business was called JJS Squeaky Clean Mobile Detailing, but quickly realized that if I wanted to build a top-tier shop, I need to rebrand and set my sights on quality from the ground up.  That’s when Upscale Detail Co. was born.”

Vision And Values Drive Everything

Jared:  How important is aligning your services with your vision and core values?

Rodney:  Aligning our services with our vision and core values is everything.  If someone doesn’t perform at our shop and doesn’t embody our core values, they simply won’t last here.  Our top priority is to consistently perform and exceed customer expectations.  Every service, every interaction, and every decision we make has to reflect our commitment to excellence and the high-end experience our brand represents.

Challenges of Performing Advanced Services At A High Level (Recalling His Military Mindset)

Rodney:  What challenges have you faced offering beyond basic services and selling clients on a high-attention-to-detail brand?

Jared:  Introducing advanced services like Paint Protection Film (PPF) and window tinting was a major challenge.  These services demand an immense amount of training and precision to get top results.  The way we overcame that was by being transparent with our clients from day one; clearly setting expectations and being honest about our learning curve.  At the same time, we invested heavily in training to get ahead quickly.  (My mentality is) there’s always someone better than you.  So train like it!

Loyalty Is Everything

Rodney:  What does it mean to you to see a client return several years later for another long-term protection service?

Jared:  It means everything!  Retention is one of my top priorities because I know brand loyalty is what builds lasting success.  Seeing a client come back years later for another high-end service tells me we delivered something memorable and trustworthy the first time.  It’s the ultimate validation that our commitment to excellence and customer care is working.
