Terms of Service

Our goal is to maintain a simple, straight forward Terms of Service for using Detailed Image. If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact us.

Payment

We accept the following payment methods: credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Venmo. Some orders may be restricted to PayPal as the only payment option to ensure that the order meets the requirements of PayPal's Seller Protection.

All orders are paid for immediately upon purchase. This includes orders containing backordered items and/or items available for pre-order. Detailed Image will not ship any order until payment is complete and verified. Any payments made via PayPal eCheck will not be shipped out until the payment has been cleared, which commonly takes 3 - 5 business days.

Promotions

All promotions, sales, and coupon codes are subject to our Promotion Restrictions.

Shipping Policies

Detailed Image makes every effort to ship all orders within one business day of being placed. Occasionally there are delays beyond our control or backordered items that can cause delays. We will make every effort to contact you by email or on our website if we expect your order to take longer to ship.

We ship packages from our warehouse Monday through Friday, except for days that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) or FedEx do not pick up due to holidays. Estimated delivery dates are not guarantees and should only be used as an estimate. FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, FedEx Express, and the USPS may not deliver on holidays and other select days. Shipments can be delayed due to weather problems and other unforeseen problems. Detailed Image is not responsible for delays relating to FedEx or USPS services.

Orders containing batteries or limited quantity exempt hazardous materials such as combustible or aerosol products can only be shipped via ground services: FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, FedEx Ground Economy (formerly SmartPost), and USPS Parcel Select. These items have the message "Please note: this product cannot be shipped via air" displayed on their product page. A message is also displayed during Checkout.

FedEx requires a direct signature for non-residential shipments. You can learn more about their signature requirements here.

Orders that contain incorrect or undeliverable shipping information, as entered by the customer, which cannot be delivered by the carrier, will result in the customer being responsible for additional shipping charges to complete the delivery. If the customer then decides to cancel the order, there will be no refund for any shipping charges. If there are charges for sending the item back to Detailed Image, the additional shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Items within an order that are designated as "Shipping Directly From The Manufacturer" are charged a separate shipping fee. Within one business day Detailed Image will contact the manufacturer to process and ship your order. These items can only be shipped to US addresses within the 48 contiguous states.

To comply with California's VOC regulations, some items cannot be shipped, sold, or used in the state of California. This information is noted in the Product Description for applicable items. These items will be automatically removed during checkout for customers shipping to California.

Return Policies

Unopened and unused products are available for return 30 days from the date of delivery. The customer is responsible for any shipping charges back to Detailed Image and any ensuing shipping charges. Shipping charges from the original order will not be refunded.

Returns of tools and machines will not be accepted and should instead be sent directly to the manufacturer. If you need help finding the contact information of a manufacturer please see our Tool Returns page for more information.

If you feel as though a product you have purchased through Detailed Image may be defective, please contact us and we can work with the manufacturer to ensure that you are taken care of.

Refunds will be issued in the form of a credit to your Detailed Image account or as a refund to your original payment method.

Missing, Incorrect, Defective, or Damaged Items

In the event you were shipped a package with a damaged product, missing product, or the incorrect product, you have 2 weeks from the date of delivery to notify us. We will then give you the option of a refund, credit towards a future purchase, or to have the correct item shipped to you at no additional charge. We may require photographs or other information before completing your request.

Fraudulent Orders

Detailed Image reserves the right to hold and/or cancel any order that matches a pattern of fraud. We will attempt to investigate and resolve any potential issues in a timely manner and ship legitimate orders as soon as possible. Some orders may be canceled as a precaution against possible fraudulent purchases. We will also try to update our customers in a timely manner about their orders status. Detailed Image will not be held liable for any damages resulting from delays or cancellations.

Erroneous Chargebacks

Detailed Image will pursue, to the fullest extent of the law, the recovery of all funds resulting from erroneous credit card chargebacks and PayPal disputes.

Editing Orders

If we detect abuse of our systems that enable you to edit your order, we reserve the right to adjust your order accordingly, block your ability to edit future orders, and potentially ban you from future purchases.

No Responsibility to Sell Mispriced Products

We have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at an incorrect price or containing any other incorrect information or typographical errors. We have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your payment has been complete. If payment has been complete, we will immediately refund your payment method.

Wholesale Pricing

Wholesale pricing is for your private use only and is not to be shared publicly or with any third party. Violations of this policy may result in the suspension or termination of your wholesale account without warning. This includes but is not limited to: posting wholesale pricing publicly online, emailing or messaging pricing to third parties, sharing your account information with a third party so that they can view your pricing, sharing a screenshot of your pricing with a third party, or copying and pasting your pricing into an email, spreadsheet, or document for the purpose of sharing with a third party. You are also not allowed to solicit others while implying you can get items at a discount or below MAP pricing. For example, "Please email me for discounted pricing." For more information about account confidentiality please see the Account, Password, and Security section below.

Reselling

Detailed Image welcomes resellers to purchase our products and resell them on their own. You can use our images, but you must leave them unaltered and the DetailedImage.com watermark must be present. You can NOT copy our product descriptions, bullets, guide, Ask-a-Pro Blog posts, reviews, or any other content unique to Detailed Image. You can use our information to create your own unique product description. Once you have the products up on your site you must send us an e-mail notifying us so we can review them.

Due to many manufacturers we work with having MAP pricing restrictions (minimum advertised price), resellers must advertise prices that are the same as DetailedImage.com or higher. It is the responsibility of resellers to make sure their prices are updated to comply with this policy. Violators will not be able to purchase products from DetailedImage.com.

Resellers are not allowed to sell any of our products on Amazon, eBay, or any other marketplace or site besides your own. Any brand can reach out to you and request that their items be removed from your platform right away. Rupes Tools are not allowed to be resold.

We reserve the right to remove resellers from our wholesale program if they are failing to fulfill orders in a timely manner, intentionally shipping the incorrect items, failing to communicate important order information with customers (shipping information, delays, out of stock items, etc), or for any other business practice that is illegal or that we deem to be unethical.

Please note that for our wholesale customers we do not include any invoices with your wholesale orders. Therefore if you are shipping to anyone else other than yourself, they will not know the prices you are receiving. If at any time you need to look up an invoice you can do so by accessing the My Account section of the site.

If you are an international reseller, there are often restrictions on where brands can be sold due to exclusive distribution rights in that area. Please reach out to your local distributor or the manufacturer directly for more information. If you have written permission from the manufacturer to resell the brand in your area that you share with us you're welcome to shop with us. Any item with hazardous material restrictions cannot be sold internationally.

Affiliate Policies

The section below outlines the terms of the Detailed Image Affiliate Program:

  • Detailed Image store credit is the only payout option for affiliate referrals. We do not offer cash payouts.
  • Affiliate credit is awarded within one business day of the order shipping. If the order ships in multiple shipments, credit is awarded after the final package has shipped.
  • Detailed Image reserves the right to terminate any person's enrollment in the affiliate program at any time without warning.
  • Wholesale orders are not eligible for affiliate credit.
  • You may not use direct affiliate links in any web advertisements, including but not limited to: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Twitter Ads, and Facebook Ads.
  • You can use our images, but you must link them to DetailedImage.com, and leave them unaltered so that the DetailedImage.com watermark is present. You can NOT copy our product descriptions, bullets, guide, Ask-a-Pro Blog posts, reviews, or any other content unique to Detailed Image. You can use our information to create your own unique product description.
  • Detailed Image requires all affiliate members to act professionally towards other members on forums and social media. This includes complying with all rules and terms of service for the respective service.
  • You may not embed any portion of the DetailedImage.com website within an iframe (or equivalent functionality) on the web or in native applications.
  • You may not violate any of the terms within this agreement, including but not limited to the Copyright, Trademark, and Content Ownership section of this agreement.
  • Detailed Image reserves the right to change the terms or affiliate payout structure at any time without notice.

Customer Testimonials

Detailed Image is proud to receive many positive e-mails and messages about our outstanding customer service. We will select some of these submissions to be a part of our customer testimonials page so that other visitors can learn about your great experience. We use the customer's first name and the first initial of the last name next to the quote. If you do not want your message and/or name being posted, please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate you.

We strive to make Detailed Image accessible to all. We have installed the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget on our site. This widget is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. Stability

Neither you nor any parties affiliated with, contracted by, or created by you may take any actions to interfere with or interrupt, the operation or stability of the Detailed Image web site. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of any software, device, or programming routine that could place excessive loads on our system or interfere with any listing on our site, or any users account or information.

Account, Password, and Security

If you choose to register for an account, you will receive a password and account upon completing the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. You may not disclose, share, or distribute your password to any third party. If you feel your password has been jeopardized, you may change your password at any time, and as frequently as you wish by accessing the My Account section of our site.

You agree to immediately notify Detailed Image of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security. Detailed Image will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

Copyright, Trademark, and Content Ownership

All content under the domain DetailedImage.com is protected by the copyright laws of the United States of America. You agree not to reproduce, sell, or exploit any portion of Detailed Image without the express written consent of Detailed Image.

You are not permitted to use the Detailed Image name or any Detailed Image trademarks, logos, or domain names in a way that implies partnership, sponsorship or endorsement from Detailed Image unless you have explicit written permission from Detailed Image.

You retain all intellectual property rights over information and material that you provide in conjunction with the use of the Detailed Image service. Detailed Image has the right in their sole discretion to review and remove any content for any reason.

Legal Responsibility

It is your responsibility to comply with all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations regarding your use of our service and your listing, purchase and sale of items through our site.

Violation of this Agreement

We may terminate your access to our site temporarily or permanently should you violate any portion of this agreement. Detailed Image reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. The failure of Detailed Image to enforce any provision of this document does not constitute a waiver of such provision.
