As a detailer, you know that one of the most frustrating things is perfecting every part of the vehicle – the wheels, the carpets, the door panels, etc., only to pull your masterpiece into the sunlight and see streaky glass. Unfortunately, your Mona Lisa now looks more like a finger-painting from the local elementary school. Cleaning glass is a make-or-break process that separates a mediocre detail from a professional result. The product that I have found to remedy those pesky streaks is P&S True Vue Glass Cleaner.

While True Vue comes in a ready-to-use form, I prefer the concentrated form because it allows you to dilute your glass cleaner  to what will work for your situation. True Vue can be diluted anywhere from 10:1 for a longer working time down to 4:1 which will evaporate faster. Why is this versatility so important? Take the following into consideration. When you’re detailing in the winter time, the temperature is usually different than detailing the summer time. At my shop temperatures can range from 65 degrees in the winter to 80-85 degrees in the summer. Having a product that can work in both hot and cool climates is a dream come true. I have found that this versatility in dilution has accounted for less streaks and cleaner glass – even from our new guys!

Method:

1. Use Two Towel Method- One towel is your wet towel which will be used to apply True Vue, while the second towel is used to remove the glass cleaner. Personally, I prefer the Diamond Glass Towel from Autofiber.
2. Spray True Vue onto surface of first glass towel.
3. Apply glass cleaner to window working the edges first and then the middle.
4. Use the second towel to buff off any haze, excess glass cleaner, and smudges on the surface of the glass.
5. Admire your work, deliver vehicle to client, and take your money to the bank.

I have had my best results using True Vue Glass Cleaner. Other products I have used have either been really streaky or did not have the cleaning power necessary to clean those windows with lots of build up, finger prints, and smudges. With True Vue, neither of those are problems anymore. Remember, streak-free glass is a crucial component of the perfect detail and True Vue is a wonderful product to get you there.
