P&S Defender – SI02 Spray Sealant (Initial Impression)
by Rodney TatumI was not expecting to write this review or provide feedback for this product at all. It was provided for me, and I did not have a great deal of urgency to look into it. I believe P&S to be a reputable and respectable brand. I generally have not used many products regularly from their lineup. I also am wearing a ceramic coating, which I am interested in seeing without toppers. So that does slow down my personal evaluation of not just this product, but many other SI02 products. I am ceramic coating most of my new clients’ cars. But when the opportunity presented itself, I not only was impressed in one initial category, it replaced my previous recommendation for a stand alone product.

I also became intrigued by other (non paint) uses that I can evaluate on my car. I have not tested it as a tire dressing or window sealant, but I am intrigued.
I have found the product is reasonably easy to use, sprayed on the towel or on the painted surface.

I have also (for experimentation) applied it to the surface at time and place that I do not recommend. Here I used the product as it was approaching dark in a humid environment, with at least no application problems.

I would give it even higher praise, but I have not had the opportunity to really test this enough for longevity on paint, against other SI02 sealants. Based upon my worst case expectation of durability, I would recommend P&S Defender now. If this product shows itself to hold up comparably with some of the more challenging to difficult long-term products, this might be one of the best slept on products in the industry.
In comparison to other recently used SIO2 sealants, I find this to be my preference. That is a win with respect to the combination of ease of use and durability.
Here is a product demonstration from Renny Doyle.
