Gyeon Iron Wheel Cleaner: A Powerful Cleaner with a Questionable Aroma
by Reece @ DIGyeon has built a strong reputation in the detailing world, and their Iron Wheel Cleaner is another product that showcases their commitment to quality. This product is specifically designed to tackle the stubborn iron deposits that often plague wheels, especially those with performance brake systems.
Performance:
The Gyeon Iron Wheel Cleaner truly excels at what it is designed to do. It effectively dissolves iron deposits, leaving wheels looking noticeably cleaner and brighter. The formula is also quite aggressive, quickly breaking down brake dust and other contaminants. With the emergence of iron removers, they have become a staple in wheel cleaning collections, but forces you to use a second product in this cleaning process. With Iron Wheel Cleaner, Gyeon has combined an iron remover and wheel cleaner, allowing you to use one product!
Ease of Use:
Applying the cleaner is straightforward. I simply sprayed it onto the wheels, let it dwell for a few minutes, and then rinsed it off. The cleaner rinsed away easily, leaving no residue behind. If you have tough contamination, a nice wheel brush will be needed.
The Downside: The Smell
Unfortunately, the Gyeon Iron Wheel Cleaner has a rather unpleasant odor. It has that characteristic “iron remover” smell, which is strong and somewhat pungent. While it is not overly strong, it is definitely something to be aware of, especially if you are working in a confined space.
Overall:
Despite the less than pleasant aroma, I highly recommend the Gyeon Iron Wheel Cleaner. It os a powerful and effective product that can make a significant difference in the appearance of your wheels. If you can tolerate the smell, you will be very happy with the results!
Oddly, their wheel cleaner smells worse than Gyeon Iron. You’d think that if they can control the odor in Gyeon Iron, they could do the same with the Wheel Cleaner. C’mon Gyeon!
