For those that wonder why it takes so long, here is an immediate example of paint correction polishing. As a reminder the actual polishing act in this small space is one of many parts involved in a detail.
Before some of you chuckle, this is one of the (if not most) common issues professionals face with consumers. That includes the ‘its perfect because it new’ crowd.
Many years ago, I had the owner of this Jaguar come from out of town, wanting me to make his paint look better. But he said he does not need paint correction, because HE really did not see swirls. But his paint does not pop. He wanted to know if a different wax would fix his problem. Those swirls that he could hardly see were the real problem. Just because they are not THAT OBVIOUS TO YOU, does not mean they do not affect the clarity and (consequentially) the intensity of the reflections. He also said he had “one of those paint corrections done. And the car looked worse.” Getting (allegedly) that service done in only a few hours for much less money will lead to your car looking worse! The video below is the car that I worked on for this client.
