3 comments on What Grade Clay Bar Should I Use?

Great write up. Over the years and dealing with vehicles with excessive brake dust I tend to lean towards a heavy clay even though I would prefer not to yet I still use iron-x before hand to help loosen the contaminates before claying. Surprisingly meguiars white clay does a pretty good job at lacking in the marrying section when used properly!

Awesome write-up Ivan! Do you tend to notice if actual Clay bar’s decontaminate better, worse or just as equal to clay blocks? Only reason I dislike working with clay is if you have butterfingers like me and drop the clay you have no choice but to toss it lol

Our black pickup truck is covered with a white paint overspray after driving through a paint spill on the road. Do you think it is possible to use a clay bar to remove the overspray?
