DI Accessories "Do Not Wash or Detail" Hang Tag Reviews

Good quality, now lets hope the dealership looks at it.

I give these to my ceramic coating clients as part of the package. They like them, and that is what counts. I keep one in my detailing cabinet for the rare occasion that my vehicles have to go to the dealership for a recall.
I use an independent repair shop for regular maintenance and repairs.

Durable, inexpensive and much better than a paper note you leave for someone to hopefully read.

I would not buy sign again, because I had to in large opening to fit on my mirror. Covered up advertising for detail images with red duct tape, also made sign stronger. The sign could be longer, wider with fluorescent colors.

Well,(that's a hole in the ground and has nothing to do with this review) it works! I took my car for service yesterday, hung it on my rear view mirror and they didn't wash my car, like they do even when I ask them not to. Good stuff!!

What more can u say about this? I needed this cus my stealership ALWAYS washed my car when I told them do not wash or detail. The last time I went, I had this and they didnt wash my car. They actually laughed I had this. I love that its in spanish and english. I wish they were all double sided tho. Doesnt really make sense for it to be on one side.. Still a must have if u go to the dealership often!

What can I say, it works. It looks professional vs a post it note. The service department will know your serious about then not washing your car, and adding swirls in the process.

Great concept and simple design. Practical to use and will ultimately save me aggregation and rework.

Used it the same day I got it! Had to bring my car in for service right after a nice detail so I made sure to hang this on the mirror. The service guys looked at me thinking I was either nuts or dead serious. Either way... They did not wash the car so they did pay attention to it. I keep it in the glovebox now.

I love the sign and the purpose behind it, but I agree with some other reviews that I wish it was double sided and maybe the "do not wash" was a more visible color or stood out more. Either way it gets the job done and I am very happy with the purchase.

Perfect gift for the pro detailer! My husband babies his cars, I have never seen him happier in a dirty car than after he leaves the dealership/tuner with this tag!

I no longer have to create "Do Not Wash" Post-It notes to stick on the dashboard and/or console when taking the car into the dealership for service. I agree with the suggestions previous reviewers made regarding:
1.) Place the "Do Not Wash" text lower on the tag to ensure it isn't obscured by the mirror; place the Detailed Image text/ad
above it (closer to the mirror). The priority is for the "Do Not Wash" text to be more easily seen than the DI text.
2.) Place the text on both sides of the tag to ensure it can be seen from both inside and outside the car,
3.) Use a bold and highly-visible font color for the "Do Not Wash" text, e.g., magenta, orange, red, etc.

I didn't have a problem with the cutout for hanging the tag on my 2011 Audi S4, but can understand how others with thick mirror attachments might. I appreciate that the tag is well-constructed and should last a lifetime (the car's, not mine!).

Awesome idea! Every time, I needed to take my car to the dealer for oil change etc. I would always tell them Please DO NOT wash my car! The dealer washed it anyways! I was very upset! I ordered 2 of these tags and placed them so it would be seen from both sides. It worked! The car was not washed! Awesome! I highly recommend this tag for those of you that are detailing addicts.

I expected thin paper, this is decent thickness plastic. Only drawback is just like others stated, it does not hang on most of todays mirrors. I simply keep it in glove box and stick in between radio/dash.

Great idea, but could be improved, as others above have suggested. I really like how sturdy it is, thicker than I expected. But, the hanger slot is too small to fit the mirror stem on my BMW M4, but it will fit on the gear selector. If it were the same size hole as on a handicapped hang tag it would work better. Ideally, this should be much more visible, I suggest white lettering on a red background and have the lettering on both sides. Also, I have to agree with the comments about the placement of the free add. We bought the tag, don't need to have an ad on it too.

Simple. It does the job. Keep it in the glove box, and move to the center console as I pull into the dealership bay.

Great little sign. As others have mentioned, the sign should be larger/longer so that it's seen underneath the dealer's sign. Also I agree with a member who wrote that it should be written in different languages, perhaps in different colors for each language. Spanish would be useful here in Southern California. All of that said, I would buy it again, it's better than nothing.

I recommend these to customers after having extensive correction and coatings on their vehicle. If they take the vehicle to the dealer for service they will wash it as complimentary but will induce swirls into the paint. This comes in handy.

I ordered this for added security when I take my truck in for service. I always make sure to tell the dealer to no wash my truck and due to a few communication issues with the shop personnel that didn't always happen. Now I can simply hang this sign on my rearview mirror and rest assure they won't give me the "courtesy wash". I agree with some of the reviewers that this main text should be lower for most vehicles but is clearly seen on my F150 but the height of my vehicle makes it easy to see and read. I would recommend to anyone seeking the added security again the infamous dealer installed swirls, aka, courtesy wash.

I bought two so that way it can be seen on both sides! Plus it brings more attention to the hangtag. I will give it the big test when I take my car to the detailer in July for a oil change. This is a excellent idea!

Nice tag. Wish it was printed on both sides. Also wish they would use more of the space on the bottom. Also wish they would put some RED in there somewhere. Only purchased since I couldn't find other options out there.

My only disappointment not complaint with the tag is that it is not printed on both sides as I expected it would be. Other than that it is good quality and I would buy it again.

This is a great idea and they are nice to have. I agree with the other reviewers that it would be great to have the message on both sides of the tag.

This is a great idea and I finally got to use it yesterday. The service tech thought it was pretty ingenious. The only problem is the same as other reviewers. It needs to be longer so the top part of the message does not get cut off and it needs to be printed on both sides.

I have mixed reviews about this product. This is a great idea. However, i agree with another post that the "Do Not Wash or Detail message is too high up so it is partially hidden on some car rear view mirrors or fully hidden on other cars mirrors. Most newer cars that we are trying to protect have a rear view Mrror with a fat neck. Therefore, the message should be bigger, moved lower towards the bottom and printed on both sides of the card! The "hanger" should also be made to fit the new mirrors with fat necks. It does not fit my BMW mirror well. I need to improvise how to use this product. It does not work as I hoped it would on my rear view mirror. Also, we are paying for the "DO NOT WASH message, we are not paying for the free DetailedImage.com advertising on the bottom of the card. So, the detailed image advertising message should be either, smaller or, not printed on the card at all. Finally, the tag should also be offered in Spanish and also in different lengths to accommodate different types of Rear View Mirrors. Would i buy this product again? If changes are made to accommodate fat mirror necks and the Do Not Detail message is made visible, printed on both sides of the tag I probably would...

I used it for the first time last week for my car's 1200 mile fluid changes at the dealership. It just adds another level of protection that your car will NOT be detailed/cleaned by the dealership. Sometimes, no matter how many times you tell the Service Mgr NO WASH NO VAC NO DETAIL … it still could get done and there you go …. surface swirls, scratches and other problems. DO all you CAN to protect your car! Makes a great little gift also for other car enthusiasts!

I do not recommend this item because the message " Do Not Wash or Detail" is not visible when this tag is mounted on my rear view mirror. The message is positioned too high on the tag, resulting in the message being blocked by my rear view mirror. Therefore, this purchase was a waste of money. The only message that is visible when mounted is "High Quality Auto Detaining Supplies and Info Detailed Image.com" because it is positioned low on the tag. This free advertising message should be removed and the main message ("Do Not Wash or Detail") should be positioned as low as possible on the tag. In essence, I purchased an ad for Detailed Image.com.

Very handy, will always be used while at dealership. I'm grateful for courtesy washes but not for swirl marks. Happy I came across this.

Cool product, but I suggest also including the message in Spanish. If you live in California or some other border state, you understand. If that means making the tag larger, so be it. I've also noticed that such tags don't work on the mirror of my 2015 M3 since the mirror base is crazy fat.

This is a nice touch and gentle reminder to the dealer/shop about not washing. Used it last week when I dropped off my car for service and informed the service advisor about not washing my car. He said that he noticed the hang tag I put up. The only suggestion I have for future updates is moving the text a little lower so the first line of text sits below the mirror and is fully visible.

My clients LOVE these and appreciate the extra security when their cars pass through the dealership or service shop!

This is a great idea. The hand tag is sturdier than the tags I hand on my mirror for work, so I have a feeling it will last quite a long time. Sends a very clear message. Used it once when I dropped my car off at the dealer, and lo and behold, the car was not washed.
