DI Packages 2x 5 Gallon Buckets & 2x Grit Guards Kit Reviews

Just purchased the items and this two bucket method will ensure my ceramic coating is not harmed during a single bucket wash method. First wash this weekend. 5 gallon buckets purchased for expansion of suds, etc.

Great value for the quality.

Love these. The buckets are very nice and sturdy, the grit guards are nice to help prevent swirls, and the stickers are a cool touch. Is this set expensive? Yes. But it looks professional, works well, and is worth it. I don't want to arrive at a high end client's house with janky buckets, it's the little things that matter.

Not all buckets are equal. These buckets from Detailed Image are my personal favorites. They are made from heavy duty plastic, minus the handle, and are very sturdy. Because of how well made they are, unless something really bad happens, these buckets should last you for years to come of frequent use. The 5 gallon buckets with grit guards are the way to go when compared to the 3.5 gallon buckets with grit guards. The reason why is a mixture of the grit guard and sudsy shampoo. Grit guards do take up space for useable shampoo solution in your bucket. You don't want to keep topping of your wash mitts once the level starts getting low around the grit guard. When you pair this with the fact that quality ph neutral shampoos are very sudsy you lose even more space with suds. 5 gallon buckets provides ideal space in my opinion, where a 3.5 gallon bucket with a grit guard gets too low too quick at times. Overall this is the pairing you should have if you are cleaning your car by hand.

What a company! There was a shipping mix up before Christmas and when they were made aware of the trouble they worked through the glitch and the packages arrived in time. My idea was to give my husband all he needed to detail his new car. Three wash buckets, strainers, wash mitt and all the products recommended. He absolutely loved the gift...I had each bucket stuffed with the proper soaps..wheels and undercarriage, car painted area, and then the third bucket with micro soft towels, each had a big red bow on top. Thanks to Detailed Image they made it all come together. Will be using them whenever I need car products...they went the extra mile!!!

This is a fantastic package. It's a high quality product that gets you up to speed quickly with the two bucket system.

A must have for cleaning your car without putting scratches back on the paint from improper washing and rinsing. Will help in paint correction.

I understand the concept, but the wash mitt is so furry I can't tell if the grit is out.

I've only used this once but it seemed to work good. One complaint though - my bucket (with grid inside) was in the garage and got so hot that now I can't get the grid out. Other than that, this seems like a good idea. At least I feel like the dirt isn't getting back on my car.
