I applied this windshield coating at least 4 times in the last year. Highly hydrophobic and excellent performance. There is more then enough In the 10 ml bottle to coat a '24 F150. Just follow the directions.

This is the 4th time I've used this product on windshields only with the 4th just a few days ago. The first 3 times has no issues but this last time I cannot get the residue off and have a streaky windshield which drives me crazy. Not sure what happened as it was a perfect day and followed directions to the tee. Ran out of the remover and not sure what to try next.

Went on very easy. However, it would be nice for the website to indicate how much is needed for a windshield. I was doing a Sprinter van (windshield about 39 x 75 inches ) and I only got 2 coats out of the 15ml bottle. My advice is buy the larger bottle! Or two of the small ones.

I'll probably buy this again next time I need to do my glass, but there were some aspects about the experience that could be better. First, shipping (at least on the small bottles) seems to be really hard on them; I ordered one kit from amazon which arrived damaged (the seal on the protectant had broken and it all leaked into the box). After refunding that one I ordered a second from here on DI figuring they might take more care in shipping, and it also arrived damaged, but fortunately it was the seal on the residue remover that had broken and was empty in this case. So between two orders I managed to get one complete product.

On my 2008 Subaru outback, I was able to get 3 coats on the windshield, and one coat on the two front windows, and the driver side rear side windows, and about half the back glass before I ran out of product. Fortunately most of my glass still had some protection from the last time I put aquapel on it. I did wipe the damp applicator over the rest of the glass and it seems to have improved the repellency. Maybe I was just using too much the whole time. (It was also super windy so may have evaporated more quickly than in a more favorable application environment).

I would have preferred the applicator pads to be larger. They were a bit hard to hold on to especially as they got worn and started to loosen and fall apart.

So far the repellency seems great. It's been a week or two and I have only had a couple mild rains since then, but even the dew flies right off. Cleaning up the haze was also easier than with aquapel.

Amazed by the hydrophobic and longevity of this coating! It's been nine months on my personal daily driver and it's still going strong with no top-up products!

I applied this to my r56 Mini last week, and so far it's great. I normally use aquapel, but it can be hard to find an "authentic" batch. The G1 went on really easy, despite it only being 45 degrees outside, and so far the hydrophobic properties are awesome. 1 bottle let me do 3 coats on the windshield, and a single coat on the sides, back, mirrors, and double sunroof. Basically the whole upper half of the car is glass, so I was surprised that one bottle got it done.

I have been very pleased with this product. It's been over a year and still performs well. I grew up putting the RAINX concentrate on my windshield and GTECHNIQ far surpasses it in terms of durability and performance. I'm now going to buy the 100 ml bottles so I can reapply it to my wife and I's cars. Best stuff on the market for a glass sealant!

Great product! Just applied this to my personal vehicle as I am looking to offer this service with my business and the results are truly stunning. Application is a little involved, I would definitely use the G2 in an atomizing sprayer to better spread the product and make residue removal easier. Using this product, water starts to go up the windshield at only 30mph. Previously I was using a traditional sealant that would start at 50 mph. Very happy I found this product.

This product takes some effort to apply and have not tried it out (in rain) yet. I hope it works as the final step takes some muscle to remove and polish out.

I applied per instructions but every time I clean window with griots window cleaner my microfiber towel grab onto the window like there's tar on it and leaves tons on lint. I only use high quality rag company glass towels but can't get window
Clean. Not sure what to do except polish it off

Very impressed with this product. Only down side of it was the installation process. It's a little long. The product itself is very hydrophobic and made the glass look cleaner!

I have used this product a few years ago on another car. I decided to buy a new bottle and apply to my new car. I don't know if the formula changed, or this was a bad batch, but I had a very negative result. I applied as per the instructions to all windows, side, back, roof glass, and windshield. The beading was great and I like it on my roof and side glass, but I very much regret applying it to my windshield. The surface tends to get sticky as it gets wet, and although water beads and rolls off nicely, when using the wiper blades they would judder and skip horribly. It was so annoying and was really ruining my driving experience. I don't know why it was a problem this time around, when I didn't notice a similar issue last time I tried this product (again, that was a few years ago. Maybe the formula changed). I had to polish the windshield clean to remove all the product, which was not fun. Again, I would NOT RECOMMEND applying this to your windshield!

Note: Tesla Model 3. Not sure if the windshield rake angle, glass material, or wiper blade design has anything to do with my experience.

UPDATE: I wrote a review 3 years ago and I would like to provide an update. The fact the coating is still there after 3 years is surprising. I just polished it off and re-applied. This time I avoided the area of the windshield that is swept by the blades. Again this is a Tesla Model 3 where they specifically warn you in the manual to not apply windshield coatings. I did the roof and side glass and the top of the windscreen and I'm really happy with it. And I know it'll last me another 3 years.

I got my windshield replace and thought about a good protection. Reading all this good reviews and watching all the videos about it i thought why not give it a shot. Best chose I've made for protecting my windshield....water beading is great, application easy I think I over did a little bit .I bought the small package and could cover only the windshield and my back window. But still amazing results.

This is the second time I've purchased this product and used it on our cars. I got the smaller bottle and it's just enough for two cars, although I wasn't able to apply as much of the G1 on the second car. Application takes time, but the first time I applied it, it lasted for ~1.5 years. Truly a great product, and miles better than rainx. Rainx would last me a couple car washes at most, and it'd make my windshield wiper chatter at higher speeds. I would totally purchase this product again, although I wish the G1 bottle came in small spray bottle for easier application.

Quick tip: Put the G2 residue remover into a separate bottle with an atomizing sprayer. You will thank me later. Applied G1 to my 1999 Toyota 4runner front windshield after prepping with a wool pad and M105 and of course an IPA wipe down. Results were great. Again G2 needs to atomize in order for you to get the most out of it. If you use this method then you could probably get a couple cars done with the 100ml package.

The product covered two windshields (minivan and Jeep wrangler) and 3 windows (side windows). I thought I would see some serious sheeting action with an expensive coating like this, but didn't really see any improvement over a simple Rain X wipe down.

I did clean and polish the windshield before coating with specific glass polish and polishing pads.

Again, did not feel like I got what I paid for. Yes, I also allowed the proper time for curing.

Product holds up to the wear and tear from the oregon coast very well along with wiper usage when needed on slower driving. Water starts flying off your glass around 32mph and has a much smaller bead height to allow to repel off the glass. We use this a lot and its very easy to install.

Good product with excellent water repellency. Can be difficult to remove if it sets for longer than 15 min (depending on temps and humidity). I purchased the 100 ml kit, I applied the G1 to all windows on a Titan, Malibu and Pathfinder and still have plenty of product left. I did run out of G2 to remove but mainly due to South Louisiana heat over curing the product quickly. I used 50/50 IPA when I ran out of G2 and it worked fine.

I purchased this in Jan 2016. I applied it in a heated garage. I followed the instructions by putting 3 thin layers on the windshield and 1 thin layer on the other pieces of glass around the car. I let it sit and wiped off. All I can say is one word...."WOW". Talk about water beading up and coming off with ease. The water flies off the windshield after doing 20-30mph when it's raining. It beads up the instant water touches it. It still going strong 4 months later after surviving the Jan-March cold with 0-20 degrees. Snow came off very easy after applying this. I am 200% satisfied with this stuff. It's like Rain X on steroids. I'm buying more and more of this stuff when I need it. But after reading some reviews, someone said it lasted a good 2-3 years until he had to reapply again. Not bad for a $20 investment.

This is my second purchase of this product and will continue to buy for as long as I drive. My first time using this product, I applied it in October of 2013 and it lasted until end of March 2015. Not the advertised two years you say? Well, all three cars were without a garage every single and endured TWO upstate NY winters. Winters that were constantly covered in snow, ice and salt. A harsh and abrasive environment, indeed! But the ice slid off the windshields making the morning preparation time for the day decrease to 1 minute, compared to unbearable minutes trying valiantly to at least get a chunk off. You be the judge.

I bought the 100ml size and just applied 3 coats on the windshield and one coat everywhere else. I don't think I even made a dent in the volume. I'll be doing many more cars with this. Honestly after all the reviews on here about the removal of the G1, I was expecting worse. Spread your coatings thin and it's not really that bad. I'll be updating my review after I see some rain, but the application wasn't as bad as I had thought and I used a lot less product than I thought I would as well.

application of this product was pretty easy and straight forward, like the other reviews state it is pretty tough to remove the residue though but in my opinion well worth the elbow grease! at about 30 MPH is when the water started rolling off my windshield, so even regular city driving in the rain doesnt require you to turn on the wipers! awesome product!

Pros of this product is that it really works and what is claimed is true. This product will sheet bead and the rain water will blow off at speed. Cons, removal of the coating from the glass can be a real pain but its not the end of the world. Do not get discouraged if you have some ipa handy and cotton terry towel handy it can help especially since the windshield has 3 coats going on there. My results were great and in my first rainfall i drove and the water on all the glass was whisked away by the speed of my subaru. I don't know how long it will last as its only been on there for about a month but it makes washing and drying the car during washing a lot easier. Id definitely get this on the glass as it can also save your life. If you cant see this size is good enough for one full car and maybe one windshield after.

This is the longest lasting and most effective glass repellant I've used to date. I applied it to my mini coopers windows last year, and its still holding up like it did on day one. I drive about 20k miles average a year too. Application can seem a little tricky at first, but just follow the directions on the labels. Hardly used my wipers during the time, only in extreme downpour conditions and heavy snow. I applied the entire. Bottle to all of my windows so I had several coats on each. If you do only one coat on all windows, you'll have plenty extra

I will recommend G1/G2 with only one caveat. In terms of application, G1 goes on very easily and is applied very much like all Gtechniq products: a few dabs on to a gauze pad, which is then applied directly on to the surface of the glass. The residue is allowed to haze over and then the product is removed with G2. In my experience, removal of G1 residue has been challenging at times either because too much G1 was applied or there was not enough G2. I am told that G1 residue can be removed with IPA, however. This is one drawback of the product. In terms of how G1 functions, it functions very well. I have had G1 on all my windows for over 1 year, and the beading and sheeting is still exceptional. After 1 year it is not as fantastic as it was after first application, but I find that around 30 mph, the water starts to blow off the windshield and what's left is easily removed by the wipers. I have noticed that after a year I am starting to see some vibration/skipping of the wiper blades that is helped by using some windshield washing fluid to lubricate the window. This may be an indication that it is time to reapply. Nevertheless, I would use this product again as I have found it to be very good and it stood the test of a very terrible Chicago winter (2013-2014).

I just put it on yesterday so I haven't seen any rain to comment on it effectiveness yet but I can say that this stuff is a pain in the you know what to remove. You can to scrub your window hard with a microfiber to remove it, even after using the residue removal stuff.

Great product. Easy application, and works great in the rain. Driving at night in heavy rain, never used the wipers until we came to a stop. The only downfall is it's very hard to remove. I'm hoping it was my error in my first application and can improve the second go around. If this really lasts the 30k mile boast then it's very much a must have product.
