The new design of this backing plate is just amazing! Works great on my Griots 6.
Besides, the shipping was fast.

Bought to use on a Griots G9, the new vented design is great, helps dissipate the pad heat. The 5" size works well in smaller areas or curvy panels. I almost think this should be the stock size that Griots ships with the polisher. Well worth the extra cost.

I added this backing plate to my Griots 6 inch DA. Works great, 5 inch pads are the way to go!

Works great on my G9. The balance is great and the quality is very high. I definitely recommend this.

It is a must when you have the GG's G9 RA polisher, because the tool kit comes only with the 6" plate (I prefer 5" pads because are more handy). I got the 5" plate from the same manufacturer because the price is comparable to other brands and I can rest assured the part was designed for the tool I have.

Works great, hook and loop is strong. Vented plate seems to run cooler.

Used this 3 inch backing plate to replace the one on my 8 year old griots 3 inch DA. Fits like it should and works like original. I only use it for short periods of time since its for spot buffing and smaller areas so I cant comment on extended use.

Got the griots G9 and wanted to stray more towards 5" pads. Ordered this backing plate after doing a lot of research and from opinions of those who have walked the path before me. This is arguably the best 5" BP for polishing, has some flex and the venting holes keep your pads cooler than other reputable companies offerings. Cooler pads, more cut. Would definitely buy again
