Professional Detailer Reviews

There are expensive gauges available that read multiple layers of paint, but for typical polishing work and DIY inspections, the HighLine Meter Paint Thickness Gauge is a great tool that gives more than enough information.

This gauge is very cost effective. Works great. If you your looking for a cost effective paint gauge this is it. I recommend this tool. I have 40 yrs. of paint correction under my belt and have seen many tools that are more expensive and this one works just as well. It just doesn't measure each layer like the more costly ones do. I didn't purchase mine from here.

I will give it 3 out of 5. Not really accurate, it seems the calibration is off, you have to constantly recalibrate 😏(cheap stuff)

Outstanding product from an outstanding company... Out of the box, it works like it should. Everyone that tackles a paint scratch, a swirl mark any imperfection on the surface with a machine be it a DA, Orbital etc.. Get this, it will save you money. Why ? If you cut through a coating, it could lead to a lot of money to respray. Save the money, buy this. Cannot go wrong.

Good gauge, helps you prevent damage to thin panels or areas. Also gives a much more professional appearance to your customers and helps educate them on how paint works on vehicles. I have noticed this gauge varies by .1-.5 mil on the calibration sticks, even after calibrating numerous times. Don't forget to peel off the blue protective layer off the calibration discs as well.
