The Optimum Big Red Wash Sponge will allow you to safely and easily remove contamination from the paint during the wash process! When washing you want to be extra careful. Most swirls and imperfections come from this process, so be sure to use good technique and quality products. The Optimum Big Red Wash Sponge is a high quality wash sponge, that when paired with a great shampoo, will help greatly reduce the risk of adding imperfections into your pint while washing. Any shampoo will work great, but this mitt works especially great with Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine (ONR). This sponge measures 7 x 5 x 3 inches and features a cross hatching pattern. The pattern helps you hold a copious amount of water and shampoo suds, lifting and channeling dirt and other contaminants into the grooves, not in between the sponge and your paint. This means dirt and grime will be lifted and wiped away from the paint, without adding ugly imperfections during the process! Works how I'd expect a sponge to work! Though after a few washes, I'm starting to see some minor wear on the side of the sponge. I might just be too rough with it.
I have tried many sponges, including the one that is blue, by LC.. This one is on a different level than others. I can justify paying more, because it is much softer. Have used it twice so far, best sponge I have ever used !
Pricy, works, but pricy. I'm not convinced that I couldn't take a grout sponge and make cuts with a razor blade and achieve the same results. Either way it does what it says it does. I only use it with ONR.
