Scangrip MatchPen R Light Reviews

Great tool that I highly recommend pending how you use it. The MatchPen R is light weight, has dual temperature lights and an adjustable beam. Given its capabilities and size I use this as an inspection light. Great for checking paint condition or serving as a quick light source on a quick bit of work. In this use case scenario I highly recommend the MatchPen R.

The only negative I can say about the MatchPen R is that while it can do more than quick inspections, its size makes it a less than ideal choice for much more. What I mean by this is that sometimes you need to adjust the beam and this results in very small lit areas. Could I correct a car solely using this light? Sure. Would I want to? No, there are better offerings from Scangrip if I needed just one light to do everything. For those looking for a all around light source I would strongly recommend the Multimatch R.

Great handy light. Makes it easy to see left over polish/wax as well as inspecting small sections at a time. It is small so easy to keep at the ready as well as easy to misplace. Overall a great inspection light.

Fantastic light--far easier than squinting and squatting at various angles, especially as the sun sets or in other low light settings. Caught a bunch of scratches and swirls I would not have otherwise seen, even when using this in bright sunlight.

Great inspection light to have. It is small but packs most features I was looking for. Dual temperature lights. Great for inspecting paint condition and works. Not as expensive as bigger siblings, perfect for hobbyist and enthusiast alike.
