The Chemical Guys 5050 Limited Series Concours Paste Wax Version 2 offers exceptional depth and gloss that every car owner craves. This wax grabs the light and highlights every square inch of paint for maximum shine. The process of how this wax is created is a large reason behind its world wide popularity. It is considered a limited edition product because each batch is made in small quantities with an unbelievable amount of quality controls and extra effort that few if any companies can compete with. The wax is created in an air tight environment to help prevent any air impurities from coming in contact with the wax. After 18 hours of blending and emulsification perfection the wax is hand poured in to a temperature resistant jar. The formula dries in a room with a highly regulated temperature for consistency. After 24 hours of cooling every tin is inspected for separation or other imperfection. The approved tins move into another cooling chamber until the product has fully hardened. Each jar is then inspected again by a quality control expert who numbers and signs the wax. Finally it is put in air tight packaging to further preserve the product in ideal condition for your use. This entire process takes eight days and lots of hard work, but it is well worth it for such an exceptional wax. This highly refined wax gives you an amazing shine that makes every paint color look very deep and glossy. This is some premium wax! It goes on and comes off real easy and has incredible shine.
I don't think I'll ever go back to liquid waxes after using this.
Application went extremely easy, I used a small microfiber applicator pad with a holder - similar to the Polishing Pal to apply it, and removed using a microfiber towel. Application was easy, and removal, even easier since my wife took care of that. She complained less than usual, so I suppose that means it's easier than the liquid wax I had been using beforehand.
I've been using liquid waxes for over a decade now, and this wax has made me regret that choice. Applying this one by hand felt much more even and controlled, and a little goes a long, long way. I'm pretty sure the tub I picked up here will easily outlast $100 worth of bottles of the liquid wax I was using before.
