The Makita 9227C-X3 Starter Kit has everything you need to get outstanding results from your polishing efforts. This rotary buffer can help you remove very light or very deep imperfections in your paint to restore a flawless finish. This buffer has a speed dial (1 - 6) that generates 600 RPMs - 3000 RPMs so you can start learning at a slower speed. However this buffer has more than enough power for any detailing task so it's great for anyone who wants perfection. The 9227C-X3 has a variable speed trigger with locking mechanism so you can gently accelerate the speed and lock it in at the exact speed you prefer.

The Makita 9227C-X3 comes with several extras that help add even more value to this purchase. It comes with the 6.5" hook and loop backing plate but we much prefer the 6" Lake Country one that we have also included in this kit and mention below. The Wool Compound Pad and a Blended Polishing Pad are very aggressive cutting pads so we have also included some of the Lake Country Pads mentioned below. It comes with a hex wrench that allows you to change out the two handles. The side handle and hoop handle allow you to hold this 6.6lb buffer with ease at any angle. The matching Makita Carrying Case is a convenient way to keep all your products in one bag specifically designed for this unit.

We have included the 6" Lake Country Hook and Loop Backing Plate that we prefer to use because it's slightly smaller and semi-flexible. This backing plate is more user friendly and it allows you to easily work with the 6.5" Lake Country Pads. We have included one of each of the seven Lake Country Pads. Each pad included in this package will help you get the most from your buffer and detailing products. The Yellow Cutting Pad helps restore neglected paint or spot treat deeper imperfections. This pad should only really be used as needed for serious paint imperfections. The Purple Foamed Wool Pad is especially effective because it can remove deeper imperfections but it finishes down smoother than the yellow pad. The Orange Light Cutting Pad is great for vehicles that have not been recently polished with medium to heavy imperfections. The Green Polishing Pad is most commonly used for removing light to medium imperfections. The White Polishing Pad is perfect for removing very light imperfections and leaving the paint very smooth. This pad should be used with a light polish to remove any haze left when polishing with the orange and yellow pads. Use the Black Finishing Pad to apply a light polish or glaze. Apply your favorite sealant or wax with the Blue Fine Finishing Pad. This pad is very soft and will help evenly spread any liquid wax or sealant. It can also be used to "jewel" the paint with an ultra light polish. When you're all done using the pads simply mix one packet of Snappy Clean pad cleaning solution with water and the pads to keep them clean for future uses. You can choose which combination of these pads you want in the "Comments or Special Instructions" field during checking out.
