Gtechniq Quick Detailer Reviews

Great product. Tried the 1L first and loved it so much I got the 5L. My only issue is the 5L container is a pain to pour. I use a funnel but it still dribbles all over the side, wasting product. The container sould have a bung with better ergonomics.

After I applied C2 V4 to my Genesis, it looked great. Then I saw that if I use the detail spray, it would shine even more. They were right.

I have used this product for 3+ years and bought 5 or so gallons of Gtechniq Quick Detailer. About 2 months ago or so, they updated it to "v2" silently. Upon my first spray of the v2 product, I knew something was different right away. It is foamy, grabby, streaky, and has a much stronger smell to it now, almost like their W5 (apc) product. In my opinion, this is the greatest leap backwards in products that Gtechniq has ever released. When I was halfway through my spray bottle of it, I actually poured it out in the sink because I thought I had put the wrong product in my QD bottle. I thought I had put W5, or some paint prep product in on accident. I refilled my spray bottle, and the same result. I do not know if I received a bad batch of product, or this is the v2 version I am experiencing. My experience with the new product is that it is completely unusable. I have never written such a strong review, but felt the need to express this to those who liked the previous version of the product.

The previous version of the product was light, not foamy, spread around easily and left a great and smooth gloss. This new product is near completely the opposite. I do not know if the chemist had an error when making the product, or what is going on. This was one of my favorite products from Gtechniq along with C2 (and the ceramic coatings, of course), which I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of. I cannot recommend this new v2 version of the quick detailer from gtechniq, and am massively disappointed in it. I will be searching for another quick detailer now as this product is unusable by my standards. I cannot state how devastated I am by this new version of the product, as I do not know what I will recommend to my clients now to use as a quick detailer for their gtechniq ceramic coating I have installed for them. I like to stay within the product family. Gtechniq, please revert to the previous version of your product, or release a v3 that improves upon the original formula. This is my honest review and I am a professional detailer of 10 years now, having used many quick detailer type products.

Awesome product.

Using as a string aid for my CSL/EVO. Adds slickness and gloss. Goes with my GTECH products.

I have used the product twice just to clean up some light dust and the product provides a nice clean finish with no residue. The last product I had was leaving some streaking so I appreciate that this product does not.

Works very well, compared to a couple other products I've used I will purchase again.

This is a great product. I use this on my 2023 Corvette when there is a very light dust on the car. I first use an Air Cannon to blow of the car then use QD and it makes the paint finish look awesome. I am very careful to not use it on a dirty surface. Its a great product but not one to replace washing the car.

Wow! I have been looking for a detailer that wipes off clean and leaves a nice slick finish for a while now. Used it in direct sunlight too. Definitely going to be ordering a 5L of this. Amazing!

Keeps your panels feeling slick to the touch I like it easy to apply and wipe off.

It works well as a quick detailer or afterwash. My only negative about it is that it seems expensive v. Chemical Guys products which I have found are out of stock. I will continue to use, nevertheless.

Wow is pretty much all I have to say about this QD. I don't know why more people are not talking about this product. It is the best drying aid I have ever used for any of my costing customers and I give a small bottle away to everyone who purchases a ceramic coating from me. All of my customers are blown away with the performance and end up purchasing it by the gallon!

Like I said, I use it mostly as a drying aid and it makes the shine pop and it gives the coating a huge boost. Definitely recommend!

Excellent product quick doesn't smear easy on easy off , I did about three coats of the C2v3 now use this for a show car 1970 RS Z/28

This product is fantastic. I use on on both my Crystal Serum Light coated cars almost exclusively as a drying aid after every wash. It removes light/fresh water spots with ease, adds signifiant lubricity to help prevent marring from towel wiping dirty areas missed during the wash process, adds gloss and has never streaked on me (even if over applied). Best of all, it doesn't alter the hydrophobic characteristics of CSL topped with C2V3. On contrary, it seems to enhance them and add a bit of protection and slickness on top.

Easy on, easy off, great product other than it was 1.00 more than others or Gtechniq's web site. Got so used to good pricing I didn't check. Will next time. Would be nice if the 5L refill bottle was offered.

Absolutely love this detailer. I use it to wipe down my ceramic coated boat after every outing. Gets rid of waterspots and leaves an awesome shiny. So easy to apply too. I use the Gtechniq MF4 towels. My boat is coated with Gtechniq's Crystal Serum Lite and a double coating of EXO outter layer.

I bought this before DI started carrying this item and have been using it for a little while now. Overall Gtechniq's Quick Detailer is a solid product. I use this on my RS3 (white) and my Mustang (Black). This product is great for someone that wants to remove light dust/pollen from their car, light road spray, remove finger prints/grease marks, rain marks from light rain on a clean car, and add gloss to the paint. I typically leave one of my cars sitting so this product is fantastic at keeping whatever car sits in pristine shape. Obviously use common sense with this product. Don't use this when you car is dirty, or you will probably have a bad time. This is a quick detailer still, and while it is a very good one, it is still meant to work with a clean car.
